my friend applied for free lenses at moorfields eye hospital and has been attending hospital since birth and was born with her problem to her sight she has been told by them that she is on the wrong jobseekers allowance and therefore will have to pay for her perscriptions have contacted dhss and this is true apparently. you can apply for a loan/cash help if you need tools etc to get back to work and she should try that, but as she needs the lenses replacing every 6 months and this is a one off payment what does she do after 6 months ? the lenses are £100 plus the cleaning fluids the glassses even more whats the answer ?
