Apropos of yet another bad-news late-night phone call, I'm wondering what can be done for somebody who's not addicted to drugs at all, but, once every month or two, will get drunk beyond the point of reason (the drinking falls under the category of "problem" and "impossible to solve" and "low priority in light of the drugs") and disappear on a cocaine/crack bender for 12-48hours.

He comes home minus hundreds of dollars, a mess emotionally and physically, and hangs out with the worst sorts of people in the worst sorts of places when he's gone. Relationships and finances are suffering, never mind health.

He was arrested during one of these benders a little while back; his court problems are still pending, and I'm amazed that he's done it again while in so much trouble. This isn't a complete screw-up; this is a well-educated fellow with a good career (and employers that might frown on this if they found out).

He's been 'getting away' with it for _years_. But...

I started to stutter when I was about six years old and ever since my life has been hell (emotionally). Sometimes I stutter a lot and sometimes I hardly stutter. I've notice that I stutter the most when I speak English (English is one of the two languages I speak). Why? I wish so bad I didn't stutter because my life would be so much different, both for me and my family. I know my mother suffers seeing me like this because she knows life is not easy for me...she and I both know that I'm not the shy person people think I am. I seem shy because I don't talk a lot or have a lot of friends, but I'm really a fun outgoing person who only whises she did not stutter so people could see who I am. I feel I need to do something about this fast becasue this condition is taking over my life.I need a solution because I can't take this no more...I'm going cray!!! I just want to be like veryone else and have a normal life.

I drink a lot of soda, eat a lot of fast food, and I don't eat much fruit or veggies. I don't exercise often. I'm 5'6" at 150lbs. Average build. Do you think this maybe causing the problem for not feeling refreshed after sleeping 8 hours? If I started eating proper, are there any viatmins that are really good to start feeling better?

If the body is autoimmune and vigilantly attacking itself, then would it be better to lower immunity, or is the person's immunity already low?

The thing is I didn't start drinking until 20, but since then, I've had more than a few binge nights that have had pretty negative outcomes. Never been arrested or caused any major harm, but I've lost a few friends because of it and have generally been an *** and pushed things too far. Last night, more of the same - out with a girl and her friends and just got out of hand and don't even really remember how the night ended. This just can't happen anymore, and I need to decide if I should just give up drinking entirely. I think that I should. Any thoughts?

I am almost 16 years old and 62 inches (5'2") tall. I want to be atleast 4 more inches taller. Should I take the HGH? I talked to my gym teacher and she pointed out that after puberty, the plates in my bones might be fused together and there might be no effect of the HGH. I am confused. Can somebody please help me out here?

Do u take it whenever u have headaches. I think I get tension headaches and it's due to stress of I haven't gotten enough sleep. Sometimes I drink more water or exercise. So I'm wondering if people take pain medication to treat mild headaches and if you do how often do you take them?

About a week ago I noticed my bellybutton was kinda sore, the other day I picked what looked like a scab or something out of it and it smelled pretty bad. So today I shaved the hair around it, looked at it good and noticed a little red bump inside my bellybutton, since then i've been cleaning it with peroxide and putting neosporin on it. I'm worried about it being a hernia...it's freakin me out!!!
When I touch it with the q tip a little blood get on it, its not bleeding but almost oozing.

I have been on prednisone for a little over three years to manage an auto immune disease, I take 7 1/2 mg daily. Lately I have felt very irritable and I get angry and yell more than usual. I am normally a very easy going person, but I don't feel like myself lately, but I have also been under a lot of stress for a while. I sometimes feel like I can't control my emotions. I just wondered if anyone knows if these symptoms could be related to the drug.

I know I'm not drinking enough during the day but I can't really force myself. It's not painful but it's knd of an unpleasant experience. Not really sure why but that's how it is. When I do force myself I feel sick. Even when I try to drink something with flavor, it doesn't sit right. Plain water makes me gag most of the time. It always gives me an upset stomach. The only thing I drink on a daily basis is 1 cup of tea. ONE! I know I'm getting dehydrated because my mouth gets dry faster and I only pee like once a day. What can i do? Is this something for a doctor or is it all in my head? Is anyone else experiencing this? I remember being this way for most of my life but it's never been this bad when I feel sick after drinking. I've also cut down the portions of my food because I was a compulsive over-eater. I just got that under control a couple of weeks ago. I'm not overweight and it's worrying me a little because I'm starting to lose weight. Just want to know if this is normal.

Can anyone give me any idea of what this is? By the last symptom, I mean that when I get out of bed or return to a vertical position my eyes completely black out. I don't faint or anything.
