I know I'm not drinking enough during the day but I can't really force myself. It's not painful but it's knd of an unpleasant experience. Not really sure why but that's how it is. When I do force myself I feel sick. Even when I try to drink something with flavor, it doesn't sit right. Plain water makes me gag most of the time. It always gives me an upset stomach. The only thing I drink on a daily basis is 1 cup of tea. ONE! I know I'm getting dehydrated because my mouth gets dry faster and I only pee like once a day. What can i do? Is this something for a doctor or is it all in my head? Is anyone else experiencing this? I remember being this way for most of my life but it's never been this bad when I feel sick after drinking. I've also cut down the portions of my food because I was a compulsive over-eater. I just got that under control a couple of weeks ago. I'm not overweight and it's worrying me a little because I'm starting to lose weight. Just want to know if this is normal.

The same thing happened to me. And I wound up in a coma
for 6 days. Something is wrong with you, you need to go to the Doctor now. I almost died. And you will too. Don't be silly and
wonder if anything is wrong. There IS....

Adding lemon to your drinks actually ups the hydration factor. Colas, tea, and coffee are dehydrating and you should drink an extra glass of water for each glass of soda, etc. Adding lemon really helps me. However, I've heard that you don't need the 8 glasses a day--I never get them and am fine. If you are thirsty it doesn't mean you are already dehydrated--it is your bodies way of telling you to drink before you get dehydrated. But if you are only peeing once a day and drinking water makes you sick and bothers your stomace, I'd talk to a physician. It sounds like you probably are dehydrated. Drink small amounts at a time and that might help. And do try the lemon. If you add it to coke you don't even need the extra glass of water (tea is probably the same). Try some of the flavored waters, or gatorade. Good luck!
