how often do you take aspirin or other pain medication?

Do u take it whenever u have headaches. I think I get tension headaches and it's due to stress of I haven't gotten enough sleep. Sometimes I drink more water or exercise. So I'm wondering if people take pain medication to treat mild headaches and if you do how often do you take them?

If you have occasional severe headaches, over-the-counter (OTC) analgesics such as Advil or Aspirin can usually treat them effectively. If you have frequent mild headaches -- but they are occurring more than three or four times a week -- then you're going wind up taking too many OTC analgesics, which is risky. Too-frequent use of these OTC analgesics can promote chronic daily headaches -- what's known as rebound headaches. In any case, you really need to talk to a doctor about it.
Tension headaches are very common and if you're concerned about overdosing yourself, try laying down in a dark room with a cold moist towel on your forehead. Or better yet, put on some soft jazz and have your boyfriend give you a massage.

I normally take motrin since I am allergic to aspirin. I take it a couple times a week because I get a lot of headaches the older I get.

i get headaches quite a lot for various reasons - fatigue, tension, pms, dehydration. i seem to have one every other week on average. i hate pain so i take advil usually one in the morning (because that's when i have them) and the headache goes away by the afternoon.

I don't get headaches but once or twice a year and they are lulus when I get one. I have found that Aleve works best for me.
Aleve also seems to work best for a pulled muscle as well.

I usually take ibuprofen for a headache. It works really well but you need to take it with food, otherwise it will upset your stomach.

never. you wont have a liver. you girls need to start taking magnesseum to get rid of yourheadaches. I stay away from advil and tuff it out. I know that stuff makes you weaker in the end.
