I am 22 years old and have an issue with my right eye. The only option is a contact for just that eye. I went to the eye doctor and they successfully put it in for me and took it out. They put in another one and it was my job to get it out-- I CANT DO IT. I know how... pinching it out or sliding it down and then pulling... but I am psyching myself out. I got my husband to get it out, thinking I could put it in, then get it out. I can't even get it in. I guess it's the pressure of the eye doctor and everyone looking at you. But you can't take them home until you prove that you can get it in once and out once..I guess it's a liability issue. Anyway, I've seen everyone demonstrate HOW... but I guess I need advice on getting near my eye. The problem isn't HOW I hold my eye... I just seem to be really, really nervous. Like my hand wants to pull away when I try! Do you have any advice? I feel soooo silly. I want clear vision so bad!

I'm sick of going to the opticians every few years only to find that my eyes have got worse!

To be honest i'm actually worried that they'll just keep getting worse and I'm only 21 now!!

i've been looking on the net to find all these exercises etc that claim to improve, if not restore your vision.

One in particular is called rebuild your vision!

Has anyone used this and had any success?!

Does this hurt your eyes? It KILLS my eyes. I am so afraid that my health and vision is going to be very poor. I don't want this. Can anyone tell me about what smoking can do to vision? I know it can irritate eyes but does anyone know anything related to like, blindness? Please, I'm in need of facts and proof. Thanx for any help! -Savannah Rox!

I was at my local Lenscrafters today, and the guy said that with a R.E. +2.50 and L.E. +3.00 I should not get rimless as they would look really bad. He explained that the middle of the lens would look extremely bulky.

I had my hopes set on rimless glasses and I am adamant to get them.

I've done a bit of research tonight and found that apparently high index lenses reduce the thickness of farsighted lenses as well. He offered me "featherweights", but from what I read those are regular polycarbonates, not high index lenses.

Armed with this knowledge should I go back and challenge him, or is my prescription too extreme to get rimless frames without them looking bad? I always under the impression that my prescription was mild compared to others...

If you can help me I'd really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Recurrent corneal erosion is a disorder of the eyes characterized by the failure of the cornea's outermost layer of epithelial cells to attach to the underlying basement membrane.
My symptom is very minor but my eye hurts sometimes when I try to open my eye the first thing when I wake up. Will the condition gets better over time or do I have to live with this.

I'm probably going to get my drivers permit soon, and I need glasses to be able to see. Isn't there like eye drops or something to improve your eye vision without the need of glasses?

Do those red vein things in the eyes have anything to do with eye vision, or not?

(in case you're wondering, drivers permit is something that you need before the drivers license in some states)

I wear my contacts as least as possible. I never sleep with them on. Usually at least one eye (the left and right switch on and off) is red and irritated and i ca't wear a contact in it. Eyedrops have not cured it and don't really help. I'll wait a day or two and the redness will go away but it will just come back later. Sometimes it's so bad I can hardly open my eye because it is so painful. I need toknow what it is and what can I do about it.

Okay so, I got brand new contacts yesterday and they are my first contacts I've ever had. So of course when I was trying to put them in at my eye doctors, it took a little while...and...I had a hell of a time with my right eye. So when I couldn't get that one in I decided to try to put in the left one ...no problem with that one....so then we went back to the right eye, a few more times, I got it in, and then she said okay now take the left one out, and easily I got it out, then i put it back in, and at this point my eyes were really red and itchy and still getting used to the contact....about an hour later, my right eye, was really white...but my left eye was still really red...and right underneath the colored part of my eye is just a big red spot...so I take my contacts out...and go to bed, I wake up and the red spot is still red and gross...what is it, and what do I do to fix it??? Sorry this is so long, haha I like to tell stories :~)

I am white and my friends are black and when we take pictures my eyes are the only ones that get red eye. Also I get red eye more than most people in my family. What does this mean about the type eyes that I have? My eyes are brown.
