I have prescription eyeglasses and one lens came out and broke. Can i get new glasses made from the one remaining lens or do i have to go back and get my prescription from the optometrist?

You will need new lenses since each eye has a different prescription. If has been less than a year and you still have the prescription you can just get the lenses replaced. Or get contacts trust me you will never go back to glasses. Well not really I still use glasses at night.

No... for a few reasons
-One lens would not give you enough material to make 2 completely new ones
-Even if it did it is very rare that someone has the same prescription in both eyes especially if you have an astigmatism
-Even if there was enough material and same rx... it would be literally impossible and no one in the right mind would attempt to do that... it would be a waste of time and time is money

Now to answer the second part of your question... if your prescription is 1-2 years old you can get your prescription from your eye doctor and have another pair of glasses made. If it has been more then 2 years it is time for a new exam!!!

Under the circumstances stated, no. You could have a new lens made from a large enough piece of the old lens, but the lenses for different eyes are generally not the same, so this stunt will not work in your case. Get a new prescription if you cannot find the old one.

I actually had that done for me. The lenses were fitted into another frame and they worked out fine. The problem you will have is finding some who is willing to do that for you because there is less profit in selling you just a frame instead of a frame and lenses

A new script. They will want to make sure that your eyes haven't changed. It is no different that having to go and see a doc when you everyday meds run out of refills... You have to go and talk to them before they will fill it again.

You could, but it's probably better just to get a whole new pair.
