We both bought scary halloween lenses without any perscription in them, they are soft lenses. They came with a warning not to let any one else wear them because you could get an infection. Is this true?

Lately I've started noticing some small fuzzy black dots in my field of vision, especially in front of the computer screen. An internet search told me it was 'floaters' and usually nothing to worry about. Does anyone else have this? Have you seen an eye doctor? Does it get worse or will this go away? I find it quite annoying.

I wear glasses, but if I take them off and squint my eyes so much that if I scrunched them up any more they'd be closed, I can see almost as well as I can with them. Why does this happen?

Thank you!

I have just recently got new glasses and was interested for the first time on what the prescription was. What is your prescription - closest person to mine wins the best answer.

I have some glasses and I want to use the clear lenses. How can I remove the frame manufacturers logo? Is there a solvent or chemical I can use that won't harm the lenses? Thanks

Hello, my eyesight is -3.25 on both eyes and I think I'm near-sighted (the one where you cant clearly see far things, like the chalkboard at school) and I've been researching lately on how people have been 'naturally' restoring their eyesight, whether it be eye exercises or blah blah but I haven't seen any real comments from people that have tried it. So if you have, please share your experience and if it has worked, please tell me which program/guide/exercises you are following.

Thanks!

In school we had to write an essay about the thirteen colonies and it has been a while since we learned about it so, our teacher put notes on an easle paper and sitck it in the wall. I was in front of the class and one of the notes are in the back of the class; I cannot read it but the girl seating next to me can. so I just read her notes. Is this a problem?

Thinking about getting my eyes tested.

Now a lot of stores offer in-house eye tests (Specsavers, Vision Express, Boots etc.). But since these are commerical businesses are they going to be truly objective and unbiased.

For example I can't believe a business will say to anyone 'no your eyesight is fine you don't need anything'. Instead they'd try and convince you you had something wrong, and sell you some of their products.

Anyone know how trustworthy they are?

My previous prescription for my left eye was :
R: -4.00 +1.00 80
L: -2.25

However i had an eye test last 2 weeks and they told me the new one is:

R: -4.25 +1.25 85
L: -2.50

I m currently wearing a pair of glasses which follows my old prescription, how ever i couldnt really tell that 0.25 change on both my eyes when looking at things both near and far away from me with the old prescription glasses on.

1) Is this normal that unable to find out the difference of the 0.25, or it is just the error of the optometrist?

2) Is there any chance the eye test is not accurate and can only give out an approximate value??

Thanks

Your eyes and my eyes are suppose to be the white. Not the pupil but the white part. :P but unfornately mines are dark because sun damage or burn scar tissue I assume. Is there anyway to make them white again by using a safe method. Don't ask.
