In school we had to write an essay about the thirteen colonies and it has been a while since we learned about it so, our teacher put notes on an easle paper and sitck it in the wall. I was in front of the class and one of the notes are in the back of the class; I cannot read it but the girl seating next to me can. so I just read her notes. Is this a problem?

In screening patients for their first eye exam,one of the questions I ask is . . .Can you see the blackboard at school?
Anytime you have to sit closer to the board to see it there is a problem. The question now is. . . how bad is the problem and this can only be answered by a trip to the eye Dr.
Another question I ask. . . . If you and I are driving in a new town and we are looking for a particular corner street sign and I have you looking for that sign,will you see it in time to tell me to turn or will you see it too late to turn and I have to turn around and go back ? If you answer that you won't see it in time for me to make a timely turn. . . you need glasses.

It sounds a lot like you are somewhat near sighted. As someone who is extremely nearsighted and had problems in school by having single vision glasses when I needed bifocals to read without strain. The myth that glasses weaken your eyes should be ignored. It is likely, being as you are now nearsighted, that as you grow older (when people normally become more farsighted, needing glasses for reading) you will need milder and milder glasses and may need none eventually, but you certainly need help now.

I agree you should go to get your eyes checked, you inability to see the papers on the wall may indicate you need glasses. Also you could ask your teacher if you can move to another seat next time you can't see something on the board.

Someguy is crazy, you do NOT have eyesight get worse by wearing glasses. I've had the same prescription for 4 years.
I do believe you need glasses. That is the same way I learned I needed them, I could not see the board well.

You most likely need glasses. If you do need them be sure to wear them because studies have shown that wearing glasses can make your eye sight better. So don't worry about relying on glasses. Good Luck!

I firmly believe that glasses will weaken your eye sights faster then not wearing any. Next thing you will know,...(if you ever get glasses), you wont be able to see without your glasses.
I would eat more proteins first and then judge for myself later if i really need glasses to function.
