-4.75 in left eye and -5.25 in right eye for my partner, I dread to think what mine is as have never had them tested but am as blind as the proverbial bat.

No, that's not right. If you get the wrong prescription with glasses, you could really screw up your eyes. Your eyes are specially designed, so you couldn't have glasses for someone who has 11/20 vision if you have 16/20 vision. That will make your eyes worse. You need a specific kind of glasses/contacts in order to see correctly.

I'm -5.75 in both eyes for my contacts,not sure about the glasses but they are a little bit more,they look like jam jar bottoms though!

im not too sure but i know i dont have 50/50 vision i have 20/50 vision somewhere around there i cant read words from a far and i dont have to wear glasses permanetly jus when i am reading from a far

I'm -1.00 in my right eye and -1.50 in my left eye and I have a mild astigmatism.

Both eyes: SPH = -2.00, CYL = DS

mine is -10.50 right and -8.50 left. contact pescription glasses is more like -13.25 and -10.25! blind as a bat
