I have a stye and I went to the eye doctor, but the doctor doesn't understand that baby shampoo doesn't clean my eyes out. I am going to another doctor for a second opinion in about a week, but are there ways that I can get rid of my stye, or at least stop the irration during this time period? Thanks so much.

As people lose their vision, what makes some of them nearsighted and others farsighted. I can't understand how a person can be able to see an object that is far away more clearly than one that is up close to their face. How does your vision deteriorate like that?

This has happened 3 times in the last 3 years. Could it be stress, headaches, or sinuses in some sort of pressure build up? Or something else?

my daughter is 4 she has Strabismus and Amblyopia. however she uses both eyes but not at the same time. sugery was talked about 10 mos ago. on both of her eyes. (one turns in REALLY BAD). sooo she most likely would need more then one surgery however the more research i did the more therapy sounds the way to go. less invasive, and fixes the whole problem just not the alignment. however its not covered and i will have to pay for it...and its not cheap. but i want what is best for my kid.

they questions are what does the kind therapy do they use...could i make it up at home?
and light therapy i can't find it online anywhere. he wants to use colored glasses and...i don't get it. some info on that? and its almost as much as the reg. therapy.

so i'm at my wits end!

I am fifteen, and about a year and a half ago I had to get glasses. A year later I could hardly see out of them, and I can't afford to get a new pair yet, so I've just been trying to deal with it ... I just wanted to know if as I get older will my eyesight continue to fade, or possibly get better? The person I went to said that it may get worse but then will get better as I grew up, but I don't know if that is true. I really don't want to use glasses for the rest of my life, and is there something I can do to help this? (I heard eating carrots will improve your eyesight, but is this true?)

I have been told in the past that I would need to wear my contacts for at least three hours before I went in for an eye exam. At my last exam, the doctor was upset when I had reinserted lenses within that time period after I had some irritation, and refused to give me a new prescription. I have an exam tomorrow with a new OD, and the receptionist told me that there is no requirement for me to wear my contacts at all prior to the exam. I am only an occassional contact wearer who wears daily-wear disposable soft contacts; she said they normally only ask those with rigid gas-permeable lenses to _not_ wear them for a few _days_ prior. She also didn't seem confident in her answer, and she didn't seem to think it was an issue either way. What do you think?

This morning I woke up and had really blurry vision in my left eye. It's weird, I try to focus, and I just see like a shakey blurry sight, where like my eye is trying to focus but can't. When I blink, it get more blurry for a second and then because just a bit more clear. What is going on? I have never had any problems with my eyes before, I am only 24. What the heck is going on?

I think you are likely to close your eyes before impact.

Are contact lens safe when impacted by something small and fast, quicker than your eye can close?

Safe inasmuch they will not cause extra eye damage or the risk of?

I am currently wearing hard lenses but my eye doctor said that I could use soft lenses if I want. So I heard about these new circle lenses that I can order from Korea from circlelens2u.com and I was thinking about getting them mainly because I want bigger eyes. Anyone who has used these lenses or have heard anything about them, are they safe? I plan on not wearing them all the time.

Hi
I was having trouble with computer eye strain - I bought a Samsung 912N monitor and a anti-glare anti-radiation screen - I tried changing the refresh rate, and brightness, and it still hurts my eyes a lot - my laptop screen doesn't bother me. What can I do, if I need to buy a monitor - what kind should I get? I tried everything - I even went to the eye doctor and he gave me some drops but they burned so I quit them. I'm open to ideas. I've tried computer glasses, everything I can think of. Nothing helps me.
