This morning I woke up and had really blurry vision in my left eye. It's weird, I try to focus, and I just see like a shakey blurry sight, where like my eye is trying to focus but can't. When I blink, it get more blurry for a second and then because just a bit more clear. What is going on? I have never had any problems with my eyes before, I am only 24. What the heck is going on?

Oops sorry, lots of typos in that paragraph. Anyways, I forgot to mention that I wear contacts on a daily basis because I am nearsighted.

time for an appointment with an optometrist. make one today. this is most likely contact lens related (inflammatory event, infection, etc)

contrary to last answer...you dont need a "surgeon" for this. you do need to see somebody soon, tho

Go get it checked! Many possible explanations. OK to start with a good Optometrist. If you are wearing contacts, I would start by going to see that Dr. I had same problem and went to a retinal specialist thinking that I had a detached retina but it turned out to be acute Optic neuritis. Your vision is not to be taken lightly.

Good luck.

To answer you honestly , from what you are describing to me it very well could be. Call your Doctor or call an on call triage nurse at a hospital that answers your questions with all your symptoms. You should go to the emergency room at the nearest hospital and be seen there instead of waiting for the doctor to call you back. I hope you don't have pre eclampsia again . Good luck and I hope things get better.
