I have been told in the past that I would need to wear my contacts for at least three hours before I went in for an eye exam. At my last exam, the doctor was upset when I had reinserted lenses within that time period after I had some irritation, and refused to give me a new prescription. I have an exam tomorrow with a new OD, and the receptionist told me that there is no requirement for me to wear my contacts at all prior to the exam. I am only an occassional contact wearer who wears daily-wear disposable soft contacts; she said they normally only ask those with rigid gas-permeable lenses to _not_ wear them for a few _days_ prior. She also didn't seem confident in her answer, and she didn't seem to think it was an issue either way. What do you think?

Funny, you have your eyes checked without lens, and if the opth. surgeon feels necessary he can tell you to put on the lens and examine your eyes co-relatively.
Change your eye surgeon.

That was so strange and weird. I think you should change eye doctor. Believe me, I am seriously.

I took it out before eye exam start and after exam done, I put it on back. I hope this answer can help you.

Strange, I've been told to always take out my contacts before an eye exam. This is because they use a machine that basically blows air into your eye to see if it's healthy or whatnot.

ive gotten my assessments and contacts from them before. you will get a pair to put in before you go away which you will put in and take out in front of them. you go away with that pair. you will get a 6month furnish (i think of thats what that's) yet they could order your perscription contacts so it ought to take a week or 2 before you get them, yet you have got a non everlasting pair to placed on till then. yet stable good fortune with the contacts, there lots extra undemanding than glasses!
