To wear glasses when you are short sighted is very very important, i suggest you to put them on first as soon as you get up and last thing to do before you go to bed is take them off, that means wear all the time.

If you dont wear them regulary all the time, there is more chance of increase in your prescription and more damage, and other related problems like not seeing well, headaches, not able to identify the people in the distance when they wish you and there is also a chance of people misunderstanding you for arrogant.

if you dont want to wear the glasses, try contact lenses, but wear only when necessary and as soon as you are at home wear glasses. Eyes are very important dont neglect them. The chances of increase in prescription is upto the age of 22 or 23 years, so please wear them all the time.

People will understand, if they dont understand just ignore those people.

There are *rare* cases where it is seriously a good idea to wear shortsighted glasses all the time, even if you don't feel a great need. That should have been carefully explained, were it the case.

In the vast majority of cases, as long as you're not driving illegally, you can do exactly what you like with no long term consequences.

Contact lenses are an option if you appreciate the risks
(they are small but they are there) and some one will pay for them.
Laser treatment is not a good option untill about age 22 as a minimum (really, you want your eyes to have stopped changing before having it done)

Your biggest need is to get a friendly optometrist who can communicate!

Well, for starters you need to have a policy of 100% honesty in everything you say to him. This means you can't even say, "Fine" if he asks you how you're doing. You need to set a track record of such blatant honesty that he eventually may believe you simply don't ever lie. Second, you need to stop thinking about your relationship in terms of "now" and "immediately". The only thing that's happening RIGHT now is that he's reeling. As far his emotions are concerned, four things happened. You cheated on him then, and he's recalling everything that was happening right then. Emotionally, you cheated on him just now, because that's when he found out. He wants to protect himself from you, and if you press him he's going to choose the most obvious way: a break-up. You have to be absolutely honest, and you have to give him every opportunity HE wants to discuss things with you--even if it won't be pleasant. Here's the catch. Do you love him, or do you want him? If you love him, you'll do all of the above the same as you would if you wanted him. However, if the harm you've done goes beyond what he can accept, you should know NOW what you'll do. If you love him, you'll want him to find the happiness and trust he can't with you--and you'll LET HIM GO, with the goal of causing him not one more iota of trauma than you already have. If you want him, then you'll pursue him relentlessly. If he gives in, you'll be profoundly grateful until things fall apart inevitably. So, decide who you are and what your current ethics are. Hopefully they won't include pressuring him to methaphorically kiss you swiftly after this punch in the gut. Good luck, good intentions.

short sighting or myopia needs to be corrected either you have to wear glasses OR Lent , ( each method has advantage and inconveniences)
if you do not like them you have to do surgery by laser it is new method with good results
what ever the method used you have to correct your vision other-ways the situation became worst and may complicated to retinal detachment
