Pain & Pain Management - May 2007

I have really bad stomach pain and also in my throat. my throat doesn't bother much but my stomach does. its been hurting for about a week already and it keeps me from sleeping. im taking Ammoxicillin prescribed from a doctor. its doing me no good and making dihreaa worse. its been hurting right in the middle of stomach but now hurts on lower right of stomach. Doctors said i had some type of virus. what do you think? how can the pain go away?

I woke on Saturday morning with tingling and numbness in my left hand. I thought nothing of it- went to the kitchen to make coffee, and started feeling woosy, so I sat down. The tingling finally went away on Sunday afternoon, but I'm left still dizzy and with weaker muscles in both left arm and left leg. EKG, CT scan, and initial bloodwork came out fine. I still have the weakness and dizziness after 7 days now. What could this be?

I have a terribly sore left foot. Its in the arch and spreads round the top of my toes. It gets worse after the gym. Its so sore I want to cry!! Luckily its not all the time but does happen every day. OUCH! Can anyone help? Am wondering if its fallen arches. I am seeing a foot doctor next week. Thanks!

When I get a massage they pop, when I stand up some pops, when I hug my Bf my arms pop, when I do back stretches my back sometime pop. Why all the popping. I am a 34 yr old pretty healthy woman.

I'm still young, but suffering from osteoarthritis. Lots of pain (on movement) and stiffness. I feel like a rusty old hinge. I don't want to start taking prescription medications for this. Instead, I'm looking for some lifestyle changes or natural solutions.

well on the left foot, the part that really hurts is the calf to the round bone on the foot. and on the right foot every time i apply pressure to it. but the left foot has the worst pain i think theres like some vein that got stuck or whatever cause my left foot is kinda swollen compared to my right . and on my knee it hurts every time when i stand up, walk or every time i make it straight.
the doctor told me that i just need to build up more muscle around my knee and the pain on my feet will gradually be gone.

am i the only one who got this kind of crap?

i really would appreciate your answers. hope you'd help me. i'm really nervous i cant even do the things that i want to do.

I think it is called peri-anal, the space between your testicles and your anus. For the last few months it has become especially sensitive and has even begun to get larger. At times it can be almost pleasurable to stimulate, however other times it can be downright painful. I know it is probably something left to a doctor, but as I am sure you can imagine, it is an area of my body that I am a bit uncomfortable exposing.

k, like 2 weeks ago, my nephew, hes only 5 years old, had a fit, and took one of my babie's bottles and banged my back of my neck a couple times cause he didnt get his way. then i noticed that night that i could feel like clicking, or a bump in my throat sometimes when i swallow.

so then the next day it was kinda hard for me to breath, after i was laying down. and so i went to the hospital, and told them everything that i was feeling. and they said that they dont know why i am feeling that like that in my throat and they dont know whats wrong. The doc said that he thought i could have a couple things wrong, like maybe i was sick but he didnt know.

but i have noticed that i have been drinking a BUNCH of soda lately, and i was thinking that maybe it could just be like heartburn or something. But would that make a like noise when i swallow? i am really not sure what is going on. Has anyone ever had this before? PLEASE help!

If anyone else has had nerve pain and has done something or tried something that has given them any relief, I would really appreciate hearing from them. I have had this pain for 2 years now and no one can seem to help me - tried medications, accupuncture, hypnosis, tens, relaxation etc. and nothing helps. I am considering a spinal cord stimulator but the risks scare me. Does anyone know anything about the spinal cord stimulator?? Thanks for reading my message - I hope someone out there can help.

I have a family memeber who is constantly making recomendations for employment opportunities although I am on disability and take medication daily for chronic pain. I find it to be so annoying, although lately I simply say 'Oh that sounds good. I'll look into it'... with no intentions of doing that what so ever. Still, I'm annoyed. My hubby experiences this pain and says it comes and goes in spasms - when the pain is present walking hurts/sitting hurts - the pain lasts for approx 10 mins then just wears off. Have spoken with GP regarding this but they have just advised a ultrasound is needed and he is waiting for an appointment from the hospital and havent said what he thinks it is.
