I have a terribly sore left foot. Its in the arch and spreads round the top of my toes. It gets worse after the gym. Its so sore I want to cry!! Luckily its not all the time but does happen every day. OUCH! Can anyone help? Am wondering if its fallen arches. I am seeing a foot doctor next week. Thanks!

Sounds like it. The foot doctor will be able to tell you more and correct the problem. It also could be "high" arches. Which can cause this pain. It can occur in either arch or just one.

Sounds like you are having problems with tendons/muscles from your workouts. Make sure you are wearing shoes with good arch support! You can have the equivalent of carpal tunnel- in your feet. You can also get special inserts for shoes you have now. Most stores (WalMart) carry them as do Athletic stores. If it continues...see a Dr.! before damage occurs. An Orthopedist. Good luck!

It could be. My arches are not what they could be. My doctor recommended insole inserts with added arch support, and they have relaly helped. You can find them in most pharmacies or dept. stores in the health & beauty aids section, for about $5-10. You can try a pair and see if that helps.

An arch support is a great place to start and your podiatrist will definitely take x-rays and watch you walk. Sometimes an OTC insert is not and you may need to get a custom orthotic. Good luck!

Fallen arches/flat feet? My husband is Active Army and has flat feet. They do not hinder his performance. I did have a boyfriend a while ago who tried to join the Marines, they denied him because of flat feet. Can only tell you that my husband is doing just fine where he is at. (Just my opinion..........my husband can run his a@# off and still does not ever complain!)
