If anyone else has had nerve pain and has done something or tried something that has given them any relief, I would really appreciate hearing from them. I have had this pain for 2 years now and no one can seem to help me - tried medications, accupuncture, hypnosis, tens, relaxation etc. and nothing helps. I am considering a spinal cord stimulator but the risks scare me. Does anyone know anything about the spinal cord stimulator?? Thanks for reading my message - I hope someone out there can help.

nerve pain is very difficult to treat. Have you tried massage therapy? I find I get the most relief from this type of therapy. There are many new medications for nerve pain that you should ask your doctor about, such as Lyrica. Consider using medications before the spinal cord stimulator. I know many people Who had this and are very happy with the results. It's a very difficult decision to make and I can understand your concerns .

the stimulator attaches to the skin with adhesive patches. low voltage current passes between the patches. the buzzing blocks the pain. I t will probably bother you for a time but gradually you will lose track of it and the pain it is blocking.
I think you need to try the hypnosis again and find an old school practitioner that teaches glove anesthesia. Allow the hypnotist to take you into deep trance and when asked put to the glove on , do it . It will be one of the most profound experiences of your life. At that time pain becomes a warning not an on going condition.
the stimulator i refered to is a transdermal stimulator there is nothing implanted.
