I had proceedure as emergency on 26 February. Left foot was totally numb, agonising pain in left leg and I could not go to loo.

I am now walking approximately 3 miles a day, smimming 30 lengths in local pool, but my foot is still numb. Has anyone had this proceedure and if so, how long did it take for the feeling to come back?
Every now and again,I fall over- its as though my brain doesn't know that my foot is on the floor!!!

I also now have pain in my right hip and am being referred for physiotherapy. Did anyone else have this problem?
Thanks

The ball of my foot is really sore when I walk on it. There are no bruises, no redness, no cuts etc.

What could this be? It's only on one foot and I haven't done anything to it.

About three days ago I was running, and I tripped and scabbed my knee up pretty badly. The day after, I was sitting at my desk at work and it started hurting. It isn't a sharp pain, but it feels like joint pain. It only really hurts when I am sitting down for a long time, and feels better when I get up and walk around on it... Should I go to a doctor for this? I mean, what are they going to do? Give me pain killers and tell me to stay off of it for a couple of days? I want to know why it hurts.

What are some of the side effects associated with these drugs. The label is very scary and i am afraid to take these medications. My doctor assures me it is ok to take in moderation.

The headaches become really bad when I get to the part of a session where a rep is difficult, and its a real effort to complete it. I can pretty much avoid the bad headache if I don't exercise to that point, but I also feel that there is no point in exercising without putting in that effort. Maybe I'm wrong. Any advice would be appreciated.

BTW, I have gone to my doctor, had a clean MRI, and am now trying a medication to help with this (so far it is unsuccessful).

When ever I bend my right wrist in almost any direction it will hurt. The pain is not serious, but it is getting very annoying. When I start to bend my wrist it hurts, and when I bend my wrist more my pain increases. The pain increases until my wrist makes a cracking sound and the pain is gone. Each time I do this my wrist cracks. The pain is in my right wrist, the region towards the left when my palm is facing my face. When I tap the region with my knuckles it hurts slightly too.
By the way I have been playing ping-pong, tennis, and basketball lately.
Do you think it's serious? What should I do and not do to make my right wrist pain free?

I have a hump on the back of my neck with inflammation/pain particularly if I walk or overexert myself. This pain is somewhat in my neck but primarily in my groin, arms, hands and feet. Bloodwork did not indicate ANA or R. Arthritis. I am hypothyroid (treated). My gyno recently prescribed antidepressant thinking this was all nerve pain - it helped the pain however I did not like the side effects of the medication.

Any suggestions on calming nerve pain, particularly in the neck, on a long-term basis. My chiropractor helps but the symptoms return quickly. Has anyone used anything for calming nerves? Has anyone had any of these symptoms?

Thank you.

I have lower right pelvic pain that radiate into my groin. It feels like contant numbing, and every so often it sqeezes and the pain worsens. I went into the dr.'s office and he wants me to go in for pelvic ultrasound. Of course i have to go to th hopital for this, and they do not have an opening until 2 week from now. Is it safe to wait that long? What should do?

A new web site is looking for volunteer health information reviewers to share their opinions on the best information on the web about migraines. We feel that reliable information is hard to come by quickly and easily and are organizing information on migraines to better help people find the information they need.

We need help from people with knowledge abor experience with migraines to look over the content our experts have found (migraine symptoms, migraine treatments, related migraine conditions, etc) and tell us which links are most useful to you, and what you think will help others. It won’t take much time to be a volunteer – you can do as much or as little as you want to, and you will help many other people like yourself by sharing your opinion. Also, by volunteering you will get to see the best and most current research that health experts have found online about migraines. I hurt my back playing hockey and an MRI showed 2 compressed discs and a pinched nerve. Some doc's are telling me to have it fixed while others are saying just leave it as is. It "flares" up and really gives me pain about 1 week every 3 or 4 months. The thing is I fly in the Air Force and dont really want to be grounded for 6 months to a year! Should I get it or will I be ok not getting it?
