When ever I bend my right wrist in almost any direction it will hurt. The pain is not serious, but it is getting very annoying. When I start to bend my wrist it hurts, and when I bend my wrist more my pain increases. The pain increases until my wrist makes a cracking sound and the pain is gone. Each time I do this my wrist cracks. The pain is in my right wrist, the region towards the left when my palm is facing my face. When I tap the region with my knuckles it hurts slightly too.
By the way I have been playing ping-pong, tennis, and basketball lately.
Do you think it's serious? What should I do and not do to make my right wrist pain free?

When I lift 10 pound weights, it hurts even if I don't bend my wrist.

Have you asked the coach? If it is OK. How about putting Athletic Tape on your wrists. Don't put it on to tight. When you put the tape on hold your hand out and spread your fingers slightly and that will keep you from getting the tape to tight. Let about half an inch of the tape go onto your hand [the part of the wrist that bends] This helps with shock and supports your wrist some in case you hit the ball wrong. The ice pack will help prevent swelling. It will heal faster if it doesn't swell. If you do take Aleve [Naproxen Sodium]for inflammation. Follow the directions. One tablet with one cup of water.[12 hour tablets] Best to have food in your stomach too. Do not take these for a long time. They can hurt your stomach and other things. Hope this helps.

The soft tissue in your joint and connective tissue is inflamed. you should wear a something to support your wrists when you do anything that makes it worse. You can also take an anti-inflammatory and use a lotion or ointment to help with the inflammation.

Best guess is that you over extended a tendon and continued used extending it playing P-P, B-ball and weights will only exacerbate you condition. Apply heat and ice alternately and wait til you condition improves before you start you sporting actions.

it sounds like an inflamed tendon. i have that alot (lift weights and teach fitness classes). rest, ice and if it doesn't get better, see a hand doctor who might give you an injection of cortisone.

you most likely have a sprain of some sort, get a doctor to check it out for you, you might be injuring it more when you crack it.
