I have taken 2 alieve at 12:30 P.M Central time but nothing has gotten rid of or allieviated the pain. I think it is sinus drainage or something like taht becuase I am just getting over a cold/flu. Please the pain is pretty bad. What else can I do to get rid of this soon if not right now?

Hieeee...........this earache of urs can be due to different reasons.....in most cases a FUNGAL INFECTION is the culprit! It can also be due to water clogging in ur ears.......plz dont be careless and visit an ENT (ear,nose and throat) specialist......best of luck!!!

Alieve won't help with sinus pain. You might want to go to an all hour pharmacy and pick up a medication specifically for sinus pain. You could also get some ear drops to see if that helps, there are over the counter ear drops. But I would still contact your doctor as soon as possible.

For sinus pain you could try cleaning the sinuses with sending salt water up thru the sinuses and have it drain out your mouth to see if it helps with sinus drainage but the best thing to do is see your dr to have them evaluate the situation to see what they think could be going on because sometimes infection of the sinuses can cause pain and have it radiate to the ear.

you are going to want to see the MD in the morning for an Rx earaches are annoying and can make life suck. For now try warm wet compresses, only keep it on the side of your head for about 20 minutes and also try Advil/ibuprofen.
