My mom got her leg amputated about 1 1/2 months ago and last week the hospital called me and said to pick her up because she was being released (she has no home, car, or money, her husband left her few days before she got her leg amputated) So I said okay...thinking she would be able to get around because she told me she did real good with the walker.Anyway, I got her home and she is extremely immobile. She is about 270 pounds and I am a 160 pound woman with 2 kids, one 2 year old and one 4 month old.I had no idea what taking care of her would be like. She needs my FULL attention, and with 2 kids, its taking A LOT out of me.I CAN'T DO IT.She has fallen a few times and I strained my neck trying to pick her up...I have to help her go to the potty every time and she even had a bowel movement on my floor which I had to clean up.She has no medicaid and No other family.WHAT THE HELL DO I DO WITH HER.I am in tears, exhausted, drained and I don't want to break her heart but I just can't.....

Starting on the 17th, I've had this queasy feeling in my stomach that I'm going to throw up- to the point where I can only eat crackers and toast. If I eat anything else, I feel to sick, but I haven't thrown up or anything.
I've also been tired and fatigued, and there's no signs of a cold.
I went to the doctor's, but they didn't know and did bloodwork but the results haven't come back yet.

Are all flu shots available now the same? Does it matter if I go to my doctor to get one or I get it from the pharmacy or anywhere else? I have been told I should get one.

How often do you have a bath/shower and what is the climate where you live. When I lived in Zimbabwe I would have a shower At least every morning, usually in the evening before bed and another time in the afternoon esp if I was doing something in the evening.

Now in england I just shower daily (sometimes evening shower if going out or might even skip a day every now and then like lazy weekend)

...made me think and worried.
I am a donor and I donated every organ and tissue after I die.
But the idea of having any part of my body transferred into a murderer or any kind of human monster scares the living daylight out of me.
Its very serious, I never thought of this before.
Is there any way to prevent this? Like if I contact NHS do you think its possible to make a statement of this sort to avoid it?

My parents and I are thinking about bringing my grandmother to the U.S. but we are worried about health insurance. My grandmother is 87 years old and has many medical conditions so we need to get her something that would cover the medical expenses. She will be an immigrant because she doesn't have U.S. citizenship or green card, and she has never worked in this country. Since she is over 65 years old, she cannot get a health insurance, but I am hoping that she can get something that is similar to Medicare, Medi-Cal, or Medicaid. I know that Medicare is for people who is either a citizen or permanent resident and who has worked least 10 years in Medicare-covered employment. Is there anything that my grandmother could be eligible for medical health plan or insurance although she is an immigrant, over 65 years of age, and never worked in the U.S.? Any advice or suggestion would be much appreciated.

I left my differin gel in the car overnight and it got down to about 35 degrees. I realized it and I got it out of the car - it did not freeze but it was stored at a low temperature for approximately 12 hours.

Will this have any impact on the medicine's effectiveness, should I use it?

Thanks,

...drive to the emergency room right now. I'm alone in the house, but my cousin is next door. It started when I had a cold glass of water as soon as I came in from work two hours ago, I've been told that could cause it. I can't think of anything else to do but drink some alcohol, here's the catch. I'm having a moral issue with it because I'm a recovering addict and NA recommends I don't use alcohol even if my thing used to be cocaine not alcohol. I've been clean for over two years, but I have had a drink here and there, and have been able to stop without going on a bender. So I guess the question is will alcohol ease my heartbeat, or at least relax me? How much should I have? Rum, wine, what? S#it! If it's going to help put my heart back in gear I don't really have any moral issues but stay alive. Please help.

I have had a hernia just under the right rib for over15 years. A few years ago I went to a specialist and he was angry for me bothering him. He thought I should ignore the hernia since it had been there so long. Now, the area of the hernia is so sticking out and makes me look heavier than I am. First, does a hernia weigh much and can it make me swell to make my stomach stick out too? Am I wrong to want it removed? Am I too old (60) to have it removed? Please tell me that the hernia weighs 40 pounds so I can have an excues for my weight. Can you help?

Yeah it's kind of gross, but we all gotta do it. I'm a bit backed up, and instead of using Ex-Lax to flush things through, I need something that will TOTALLY flush my intestines clean in one fell swoop. Years ago, a pharmacist at a local grocery store told me to get this over the counter stuff in a green bottle that you just drank the whole thing - forgot what it was called, but it tasted rather tart. Anyway, less than 5 minutes after I drank that thing, I was praying to God to make it all stop, but it flushed me out completely.

I'm looking for something like that, but more effective, or if not, then that same thing again. I just can't remember the name. Can anybody help me out here? (OTC only please - thanks!)

Explain how they have all the meds you need to buy and how each pharmacy has the exact amount for you. To me it seems they plan for you to go to a specific pharmacy when you can go to all of them.
