Does being on the computer and sitting about 5 feet away from the screen harm my eyesight? Would looking away every now and then help?

How many hours a day could I be on the computer without harming my eyesight?

Thanks.

So with regular breaks, my eyesight will be fine? No harm and/or need for spectacles or any deficiencies?

I'm not sure if it harms your eyesight or not, but taking a break every hour is recommended.

It depends on the type of screen you are looking at. CRT screens can cause eye strain - especially if you sit there looking at it for hours at a time - which eventually degrades your eyesight. My screen at work was a CRT and I would go home with some whopping headaches. Once I got an LCD screen, the headaches went away, and I am able to work without the strain.

BUT - you need to move your eyes around every now & then - and I don't mean moving them around the screen. I've seen reports where it is suggested that you do 'eye excercises' by looking all the way to the left, right, up & down. Of course, it helps for you to get up and get away from the computer for a few minutes every hour as well.

The Birds of Prey do certainly have the exceptional eyesight technically talking. When talking of the Cats, it's not the eyesight within the potential to look a long way, or motion.. as within the Birds of Prey, however alternatively within the Light Gathering Capabilities that units them aside. I f you spotted, the student of the Cat is vertical, which offers it the potential to collect mild from the edges as good as above.. ie. the Sun, and likewise had a Reflective Retina, which concentrates the sunshine that does input the to a unmarried factor. If you will have ever had an historic 35mm digicam and seemed into the lens, you could see that there are a sequence of ridges that replicate all incoming mild to the movie aircraft in order that there is not any " Bounce Back" of the sunshine out of the lens which could reason "Glare". In whole darkness, neither the mouse nor the cat can see; nevertheless, if there's simply the slightest bit of sunshine coming in.. the expertise is going to the Cat! While the mouse depends on it is olfactory experience of odor and the whiskers for consider..the Cat has the sunshine amassing retina and vertical " Cat's Eye" student!!
