Over the past few days I've been struck about 4 times with a sudden sharp tingling feeling in my left arm and also around the top left of my chest. Does anyone know what this could be?

It happened once while I was driving and it made me twitch sharply and as you can imagine I started to panic thinking I was having a heart attack at the wheel!

I'm the type of person that really doesnt like to bother the doctor as I'm sure theres other people out there with worse problems but I am a little worried but wanted some advice before going to see one.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

I will be working alternating day and night shifts, 12 hours (7-7). I have heard that it is as bad for you as smoking 20 fags a day (yuk). Can anyone offer me tips on how to stay healthy, and any advice on exercise and diet? I woud appreciate htis, as I would like to keep going naturally rather than rely on Red Bull or something equally awful!

Free prescriptions for all ages are available from pharmaceutical companies if you do not have coverage. I think that this could turn around many lives. What do you think?

I take beadryl quite frequently as a sleep aide. I only get about 4-5 hours of sleep per night and have found this medicine to work well. Is it addicting? Anyone use it, or have any other suggestions to help me sleep. 4-5 hours for years is catching up to my health.

I had a dispute with a military doctor against whom I reported. After that he became vindictive towards me and subsequently i was asked to get a clearance from a psychiatrist. The psychiatrist declared me medically fit for the procedure. Now since getting surgery from the same surgeon is out of question I approached one of his collegues in the same hospital, who seems to be very half hearted about it and says things like-'you won't be satisfied with the results'. It is a rhinoplasty. Sometimes he says that I don't need it, which is offcourse bullshit since his collegue only recommended it. I have a DNS as well as a bulbous tip. Now after dithering and procastinating for an year, after I approached him this other surgeonhas agreed to perform it. But still keeps muttering things like i told you you don't need it and all. Now will this attitude of his work in my favor (keeping his objectivity intact ) or against me (making him biased). He'll be doing it for free. What should I do?

Sometimes, when I am falling asleep, I feel like I'm spinning - a feeling coming from my brain. Is this normal, and what is it?

Alright. My throat is feeling really, really hoarse right now.
Here's the story. My stomach was feeling weird 3-4 hours after eating, so I forced myself to throw up. For the first 45 minutes, it barely worked. Then it suddenly worked. And kept going. So I forced myself to stop throwing up and cleaned up everything. I felt these dry, raw bumps on the back of my tongue. When I scratched one off with a nail, it was whiteish and odd.

How do I take care of my throat and tongue?

(P.S: I realise that wasn't a wise decision.)

I have an addiction to the snooze button. I set 2 alarm clocks every morning to go off half an hour apart from each other in the hopes that if I don't wake up from the first alarm, the second will get me, but I end up hitting snooze on both and then eventually turning them off! This is getting irritating & i don't know what else to do. Its not from a lack of sleep either. Any ideas?

Well, this may not be health related but I cannot think of anything else that it could be. Everytime I go through any of those detectors at stores an alarm goes off. Nomatter what I have on, it goes off. Never had any surgery in which something has gone inside of my body. It is strange. It does not go off when i go in, only upon my exit! What is the deal?

I started gettin knee pain when i was about 13 and it's been off and on pain ever since (i'm 17 now). Both knees have pain but usually they both dont hurt at the same time. It'll switch pain every week or so. It's mostly my right knee, and lately my right hip has been hurting some. It's usually not to bad of a pain though. I know when my aunt was my age she had to have some type of injection. It wasn't too serious. I'm thinkin it may be that and that its genetic. My parents said if it starts to bother my more they'll take me to a doctor. Anybody know what could cause this?
