i feel empathy for you. ur conclusion that" its not from lack of sleep" might be incorrect.
you should google "sleep hygiene". in short ur body tells you how much sleep you need usually it ranges from 7-10 hours. the snooze addiction is prbably ur body telling you not to wake it up
good luck .

I have an addiction to the snooze button as well. I have tried many of what others have mentioned but they haven't really worked for me. I have always had a hard time getting up (I am 28 now). I set multiple alarms - two on my one clock, two on my other one which is across the room, one on my watch, and several (3+) on my cell phone. You would think that putting the clocks out of reach would work but I just jump out of bed and then right back into bed and go back to sleep. The interesting thing is that once I am up and I am wide awake. I am much more of a night owl than a morning person but like I said, once I am awake I am wide awake. I would be interested in hearing anyone else's suggestions that are new. I think the thing for me is that I have been doing this for so long that it has turned into a bad habit. The one thing that prevents me from changing is the fear of not waking up and being late for work. This has happened a couple of times when I did not use all of my alarms and did not set them way ahead of time.

Set the first alarm at one time and keep it next to the bed so you can turn it off, then put the second alarm across the room so when it goes off (and make sure it's nice and loud and annoying so you can't just ignore it and sleep through it), you have to get up out of of bed to turn it off and when you do that you're less tempted to get back in bed...and hopefully realize it's time to get up.

have a friend call you and insist that they don't hang up until they hear running water (from a sink or shower faucet) to prove you're out of bed,out of the room and actually awake. Otherwise you could be lying just to get him/her off the phone so you can go back to sleep. ((that's probably what i would do)) tell him or her you'll call them back in 5 or ten minutes and if you don't have them call you. That will prevent you from laying back down and drifting off again. I have the same problem as you, but luckly I'm only 14 and live with my parents who make sure I'm up in the morning. Good luck!

The usual problem is not getting up when awakening.. may try going to bed a couple hours earlier and forget the alarms.

Go to bed earlier. Try putting the alarm across the room and make sure that you will get up. Once you are up stay up.

Don't put the alarm clocks near you! Set them and put them where you will need to get up to stop them. This should help you. And perhaps go to bed earlier?

I used to might desire to apply 2 alarm clocks lol. I placed one precise next to my head to wake me up. and the different on the different element of the room so I might desire to arise to coach it off.
