Most likely not, since Coke contains caffeine which is a diuretic. This means it makes your body lose excess water, thus causing you to be even thirstier than you were at first.

There is nothing good about drinking things like Coke. The caffeine in that particular drink actually dehydrates you, which is probably exactly what the company wants, so you go buy another one.
Plus, fizzy drinks leach valuable minerals like magnesium from your bones.
As for the sugar content, they probably do make you thirsty, and who needs the extra sugar anyway? High levels of refined sugar in any diet will only contribute to diabetes, heart disease, obesity, and a hundred other things.

Yes. Even though its a type of beverage, the sugar it contains is whole heap of it. So its like drinking cordial with bubbles. Sugar makes your body thirsty because its a concentrating agent to the cells of the body. Experiment: After exercising, drink a cup of coke. Then drink some water and you'll notice you're less thirsty after drinking water.

Yes, Coke does take away your thirst, but for health reasons, do NOT drink it every day.

You are right about the sugar drying out body tissues AND lunamama is right about the caffeine being a diuretic, which means "makes you pee," so it dries you out from that, also.

personally I think they make you more thirsty. I prefer ice cold water when very thirsty. And coke has caffine making you dehydrated if you dont have enough other caffine free liquids.
