Free prescriptions for all ages are available from pharmaceutical companies if you do not have coverage. I think that this could turn around many lives. What do you think?

I think i would love to know where i sign up !! I am on SSI and I have to pay for 2 of my medications. They cost me $60.00 per month. I know that doesn't sound like a lot of money to most people. But when you are living.....or.....trying to live on $830.00 per month , that $60.00 is hard to come by. I have Medi-Cal.....THANK GOD..but Medi-Cal will not pay for these 2 medications. Sometimes I'm forced to choose one over the other because I simply can't afford both of them. So , the answer to your question is a big HECK YES !!!! It most definitely would turn many peoples lives around. A lot of elderly people have enormous financial problems because they don't have the insurance or the money to pay for their medications. I think it's a horrible thing that people in the United States don't have access to proper health care. Nobody in the U.S.A. should have to suffer for lack of money or insurance. It's something that needs to be taken care of. So many people die because they can't afford to go to the doctor. And even if they do manage to see a doctor , they are left with not having the money to pay for the medication prescribed to them. Will it turn lives around ? Yes. Will it SAVE lives ? YES !!!!

it's all a frame of mind. Paying for food and clothes can be seen as a burden, but most people don't see it that way. My boyfriend pays a hundred bucks every month for insulin, but doesn't see it as a burden at all. It's just like every other expense to him now. I think that people who do not have coverage, should get coverage, or budget it into their expenses. Nothing is free, if you get it for free there was someone who donated the money out of their own pay check so you could get it free!!!

I think it would make many people opt for not paying for insurance available to them from their companies since they could get the meds for free. Who would pay for the meds, the employees of the med companies, and for their time testing and studying new meds? The gov't?

Knock on wood, my happy pills are available over the counter. I don't need to take anything else.
