(To the author of the answer that is 2 posts above this one: you made a fair point, but there's no need to be so bloody RUDE to someone who is clearly in distress and not thinking straight. This person needs advice. Now toddle off back to nursery and learn some social skills. You are the weakest link. Goodbye.)

Paulen,
Has your daughter actually been diagnosed as epileptic, or are her seizures due to something else? I know that sounds like a silly question, but I don't want to make incorrect assumptions on something serious like this. The fact that your daughter's on medication says (to me, anyway) that you are aware of the illness causing the seizures - is that right?

Please make sure you get a second opinion if you feel you need one - ask for a referral to another specialist and chase it up. That's what I did when I found out that my little sister was epileptic. She suddenly developed it at 15, which is seriously bizarre! For years, it was so bad we thought she was going to need surgery.

It's horrible, but is definitely manageable with the right meds and professional medical care. My sister, who used to have an average of 5 fits a day, is now a mother of 3 and her epilepsy is controlled by the right medication. The first type she was given didn't help, so the doctor tried her on a few other things and eventually they found one that works. She lives a full and happy life and I'm sure that your Amy will too, in time.

Please, get more medical advice, and if you need numbers of epilepsy support groups, your doc will point you in the right direction.

Oh, and ignore the rudeness of some people here - don't let trolls upset you.

I'm so sorry for your daughter suffering the way she is. Could you ask the Dr if the medication she is on is suitable for her? I was once put on medication that caused me to have 'fits' and a girl I later met had been on the same medication and then started with epilepsy. I don't know the answer to your question, I would assume only someone with medical knowledge, who's seen your daughter would be able to advise. Is there a support group you could join? or maybe even someone who could keep you company? I think facing it alone must make it even more frightening.
My thoughts are with you and your daughter.

Surgery can control seizures and is usually an option for those who don't seem to respond to medication, but the only way for you to truly find out if your daughter is a candidate for surgery is to see a doctor.

attempt places like bypass over Selfridge and Topshop. They cater so a lot extra for skinnier human beings than New look & Primark and so on. I actually have a pal who's 19, and he or she or he has the similar concern. She suits into length 9-10 infant's clothing. She buys from H & M (attempt there). attempt some infant's sections as well.

I'm So Sorry for you and the problems that your Daughter faces!

Have you tried different opinions/doctors? There may be a new surgery out there!

I wish you the best!

Talk with your doctors, and they can guide you to get help in caring for her. There are different departments of the health unit that can not only help her but also help you. Ask for help, do not feel like you are a failure, everyone needs help at some time.

You don't say how old the daughter is and you don't seem to know the cause of the seizures. Infact you are looking in the wrong place for reliable answers.
