In health care they learn how to do this in a hospital,nursing home and visiting home care but you can do it yourself at home
but only at home. Some people over do this that why we need nursing

I.D. patient, I.D. meds for that patient. check route, dosage and
time for medicating. check adverse reactions ,check what it
potentiates. clarify chart for allergies to medication.

Mess any of these up it could be death time or alest lawe suit time
