I take beadryl quite frequently as a sleep aide. I only get about 4-5 hours of sleep per night and have found this medicine to work well. Is it addicting? Anyone use it, or have any other suggestions to help me sleep. 4-5 hours for years is catching up to my health.

I would say no. I used to take quite a few a day and quit with no problem. I recently started to take it again for a sleep aid due to depression (Gawd can I sleep!) and haven't had any problems though I do think it might affect your liver if you take too much.

It is not addicting, but it won't help the underlying problem. You should see a doctor who treats sleep disorders especially since this lack of sleep can deteriorate your health. As you have indicated it is already affecting you. They may be able to provide treatments that are more effective for you.

The medicines shud not be taken to increase ur comfort level but only when ur condition indicates their use. They cause lot of harm even when indicated. Benadryl is an anti-allergic drug and causes drowsiness. In due course of time, it will become ineffective and u will have to increase the dosage or try something more potent.

U cud learn pranayams and practice them regularly.
