For about two months now, I've been having a problem with my right ear. I have never had any serious problems with my ears and have fortunately always had excellent hearing in both. I can hear just fine in both ears at all times, but many times when I move my jaw (such as when I chew) I can hear the "inside" of my right ear. So it's not a problem with hearing external sounds. It's just that I also hear "inside" my right ear whenever I move my jaw, and as you can imagine it's a bit annoying.

I suspected the problem might have had something to do with wax in my ears, so I bought a tool designed to flush out ear wax. That did not help at all. I don't think it's a problem of ear wax. Like I said, I can hear fine. It's just that I'd rather not hear my own chewing and that sort of thing.

If I can't get rid of this problem on my own I will see a doctor, but I wanted to ask here for any information, advice, or suggestions I could get.

Thanks, and I appreciate any feedback.

I read that people who intend to do pranayama must refrain from all sexual activity and sexual thought, otherwise there might be harmful effect. But how can one avoid sexual urge which comes as naturally as say hunger? Is it true that yoga and pranayama are really meant for unmarried people like saints? Then what about common men and women like us? Does pranayama help in reducing sexual urges?

I stayed home from work today with what feels like the beginning of an upper respiratory infection. I used to get them a lot as a child, but then for probably 20 years I almost never got them. Now in the last couple of years, I seem to get two or three every year. I know how to avoid colds....washing my hands a lot, not touching my face, get lots of vitamin C, etc. But is there a way to keep from getting these darned infections?? (By the way....any advice for helping get rid of one besides antibiotics would be great, too!)

I am always sooo tired. I go to bed at around 1-1:30am. I wake up at around 8:15am. Then when I get out of the shower, I never fail to fall asleep on my bed in my towel for about an hour. No matter what I do, I somehow cannot control this. I feel as though I could fall asleep on my way to work every single day. Now I am at work & I am struggling to keep my eyes open. Any tips on how to stay awake & get energized.

Also, on weekend. I cannot help but wake up exactly 12 hours after I fall asleep. (if I go to bed at 4am, I will wake up 4pm the next day, or later!)

Does this sound like I have some sort of sleeping order??

Sorry about all the details, but I really need info.

A lot of Fish oil on the market today does not specify which part of what fish is used to make the oil. Therefore how can people who buy these products know what they are getting? Fish!!!! could mean Mackeral hallibut, cod, etc, all with different levels of omega 3. In the race to sell us suppliments to help us be healthy, are the people selling "fish oil" actually selling oil which may or may not be that good for us but making us think it's doing us some good? Talking point for a Wednesday. Any ideas?

This is a serious question and no anti-smoking comments please.
I smoke a pack a day and recently when I inhale I get the feeling I'm going to vomit.
I'm wondering what could be the cause of this.

I drink a glass of prune juice every day in the morning and that helps me avoid constipation.

But I am concerned if this would have any ill effects on my body, especially the GI tract?

Appreciate your responses.
