What vaccines (shots, immunizations) do I need to be up to date on if I go to Caracas, Los Roques, Tucupita (in the Orinoco delta) and Melia in Venezuela?

I will be traveling there for one week in September. Also, what other meds do I need--malaria prevention?

I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter who is potty training. We live in a two story duplex and the bathroom is upstairs. My doctor has told me not to continue to go up and down the stairs continuously throughout the day as I have a slipped disk in my back. We have a potty seat down stairs because my daughter can't go to the bathroom by herself yet. My problem is this: after she pees, is it okay to pour the urine down the kitchen sink drain? This is the same sink that I do dishes in daily. I mean, as long as I use boiling water and bleach, shouldn't this be okay? What do you think?

I often wonder why people aren't more proactive about their health when it's well within their power to extend their lifespans, increase their quality of life, and look wonderful - just by adopting healthy behaviours.

Preferably the practice used in Britain.
A nursing perspective would also be appreciated.
Any references to medical material to back up answer would be useful.
