I have a 2 1/2 year old daughter who is potty training. We live in a two story duplex and the bathroom is upstairs. My doctor has told me not to continue to go up and down the stairs continuously throughout the day as I have a slipped disk in my back. We have a potty seat down stairs because my daughter can't go to the bathroom by herself yet. My problem is this: after she pees, is it okay to pour the urine down the kitchen sink drain? This is the same sink that I do dishes in daily. I mean, as long as I use boiling water and bleach, shouldn't this be okay? What do you think?

Sure, its fine, as long as you clean it out. Urine is sterile and wont make you sick, its really just the "grossness" factor to be concerned about.

My Aunt used to do this very same thing for her Grandson. While I personally don't find it very sanitary (for the obvious reasons), it didn't seem to do any harm to my Aunt's family.

May I suggest after your Daughter uses the potty chair to pour the urine in a bottle and then when you go upstairs, pour it into the toilet and flush it away.

Have a lovely rest of the day.

Yes it's fine as long as you sanitize the sink afterwards. All pipes drain into a common sewer unless you have a septic system.
