If your doctor gave you medicine, TAKE THE MEDICINE AS INSTRUCTED!!!!!

If you haven't been to the doctor, you should never take a prescription antibiotic without instructions from the doctor.

Antibiotics For Boils

Last year, I had several boils in a row...butt, boob, stomach...so disgusting and worse...PAINFUL. I never went to the doctor, and let them all resolve on their own...which they did with no scars. I read that it's hard for antibiotics to cure boils since it isn't easy to get the medicine under the skin....either topical antibiotics or oral. I'm not a doctor, so this isn't professional advice, but I happened upon tomato paste as a natural home remedy and laughed about it. I thought, "Why didn't I now this when I needed it?" Anyway, as if my body was so curious to see if it worked or not, I got a butt boil no more than two weeks later. After two days of excruciating pain, I tried the tomato paste (note that my other boils lasted really long!). Anyway, I heated it, and it was applied directly to the boil, packed with cotton balls, and medical tape before bed. When I woke up...it hurt really bad and I figured it didn't work. No more than half an hour after waking up, it broke on its own, and I was TOTALLY fine after that. If I ever get one of those nasty buggers again, I will apply tomato paste as soon as possible. I looked it up online, and evidently other people have tried it with success as well. Also, if I ever get one of those nasty big zits on my face that is under the skin, I will try tomato paste over night too. Finally, I don't know how anyone ever discovered that tomato paste acids would draw a boil to a head almost immediately, but I would bow down to that person if I could!!! Old home remedies always seem just folklore (ie: scratch an X through a mosquito bite to relieve itching...yeah, right), but this one truly and miraculously works!!!!

My doctor said that these strands of bacteria have certain types of antibiotics that help. They have to culture it to be sure which antibiotic will work. I've tried both and didn't see a big difference in healing time. The nurse practioner at work said to try to drain the pus daily. Some say tomato paste will draw it out. Didn't seem to work for me. I would definately drain it though because if it gets too big and sore, you won't want to drain it because of the pain. I would keep it clean and covered while at work, open at home. Also, these dudes are highly contagious. Clean toilet seats, etc... Just clean up behind u with disinfectant. My son and mother-in-law and to have their's lanced by doctor. Drain it daily cause they will get sore quick. All this from experience. Good luck!

Take the antibiotic to get the staph bug under control. The bug is in your system, the boils are just a symptom. I will recommend an herb to take every day after you bring the overgrowth under control with the antibiotic. Neem. It is an herb, capsules can be found on-line to order, it's not expensive and it works. It will gradually bring the staph in your system under control. Buy some and take it daily.

In the olden days - (1950's) we treated boils with a kaolin poultice - it seemed to do the trick. You could ask your pharmacist, but he or she might fall about laughing!

FORGET the pills! The boils will go away on there own! Why don't you put a hot compress on them and then pop them, disinfect with alcohol!

You could get them lanced. Just be careful of staph infection. My boss got one lanced and ended up in the hospital for a month and $65,000 in bills
