Hey I'm a proud Christian too, but a glass of warm water really does work. If you don't like the water idea, take 3 deep breaths, it works for me.

Drink water while plugging your ears...Since this is almost impossible to do if you are alone, what I do is, take a big gulp of water, then put the cup down and plug your ears before you swallow it. Repeat. You might have to do it a few times, but it will work.

I WILL say drink water BUT you have to drink it up side down. Turn your glass away from, bend over (at the waist) and drink from the other side. It has worked for me for years!

Guaranteed by bartenders everywhere...

Slice of lemon, dribble some bitters on it, chomp away, hiccups gone.

unfortunately I'm not sure of the exact ingredients. However any good bartender knows the cure. I've experienced the instant relief many times. One of the ingredients is bitters... not sure of everything else.
