She went into the ER because her foot was uber swollen and she says it hurt really REALLY bad. So, there, the ER doctor gives her some pills and after about a week if it isn't better to go to her doctor. Well, a week later, the swelling has gone up, the toe nails were blackened and the skin between her pinky toe was torn. She goes to her normal doctor who say basically, IDK what he was doing. I look up what the pills are for and it says the meds he fave her are for a urinary tract infection (which BTW she doesn't have). So can she sue for pain and suffering, the days she missed from work that she didn't get paid for and the cash she had to pay up front for the ER visit? Does she have a case?

of oxycotton can I can I take a Vicoden....I will nof be able to see the doctof till Monday when they will be given the 2 shots for pain. or if there something you can suggestt. This an excrutiating pain.

Lets say I have symptom of sleep apena or do really have sleep apena, can I buy CPAP online by myself and try it out? or do I must be presribed by doctor and take sleeping test? if I do buy CPAP, will it be harmful without doctor telling me to buy?

i was in a car accident back in march of 06 and severly hurt my back. i found out that i have grade 1 spondilolthesis of my L5/S1. i have alot of inflammation of my lower spine. i had spinial injections on monday november 5th. what helps reduce the pain and what can i do to eliminate the pain and discomfort?

In the U.S. so many young people like me, especially college students, do not have health insurance. we just don't go to the doctor when we need to because it costs 400+ dollars sometimes just to get some damn antibiotics for a sore throat etc...

I fell on the dirt bike onto the pavement and my cuts are kind of deep..i dont think i need stitches.. i have been putting antiobiotic ointment on them and keeping them covered.. has anyone ever had this happen? what is the best way to help them heal better? i have heard different things so please help! this happened last night

about 10 days agoi was playing football and i landed on my shoulder awkwardly and other person landed on my when i was like this and now the top of my shoulder hurts pretty bad. like i can carry light obects and even wear a backpack, but its hard for me to take off a shirt, make a quick movement, i cant sleep on it, and i tried to throw a football a few days ago, i can make the motion, bit if i try to throw more than 10 yrds or put any volacity on a throw it really hurts. is this just a sore shoulder? could anyone tell wats wrong with it from my describtion should i have it checked out? thanks.

There have been countless times when me or my boyfriend have nearly been rammed by them whilst out and about, many more times than by a bike or a skater etc, in fact I don't think I have even had a near miss with any other moving vehicle, probably because nothing else is allowed to tear through shops and public areas like these scooters do, and they don't half move fast, if they hit you, they are going to do damage. They are allowed into tight spaces which would cause a serious health and saftey issue if ther was to be a fire or evacuation for whatever the reason. Apart from that the people riding them are uninsured, unlicenced and often have very poor eyesight and would not be alowwed to drive a car. I think there should be a practical test simlar to cycle proficiancy and an eye test, and this should be mandatory before you are even allowed to buy a scooter. Before you leave your PC oppinions, just take a moment to see the other side of the coin here.

I have fibromyalgia and am on disability for that, but this back pain is truly horrible. After the mri was taken, i bent over and now i can barely move. should i tell my dr. or is this normal with ruptured discs? my next appt. is three weeks away and I am trying to give myself time to heal, and not run to the dr. everytime something like this flares up. We got a call from my sister in law yesterday evening that her 5 year old son had tried to pick up his 2 week old brother and accidentally dropped him on a carpeted floor.
She took him to the ER to make sure there was absolutely nothing wrong with him. By looking at him, he was acting as a 2 week old should. They did a catscan which is common in head trauma cases. We hear back that the baby has a skull fracture and is bleeding a bit. They are going to send him by ambulance to a neighboring cities Childrens hospital.
Well by this time, Mom is freakin'...thinking her baby is about to die and they wouldn't even let her ride in the ambulance with her son because of her anxiety levels.
Mom, Dad, and Grandma follow the ambulance and arrive at the Childrens hospital. They give the baby another catscan with more advanced machines ...they attending Dr. comes back out and says there is NO fracture, No bleeding. .Baby is fine.
How could a hospital be so wrong in their diagnosis?

okay i am 18 and at night and the next morning sometimes i have heart burn. at least i think it is heart burn. the only thing is i can feel it in my back also. it feels like pressure kinda. i can breathe normally and stuff. is this normal or is there something else going on?? it usually happens if i have too much caffine. i take supplements once in a while to stay awake cause im in college. any suggestions?

My bf just had orthroscopic knee surgery yesterday to fix a minuscus tear. He is on Vicodin and is in extreme pain. Has anyone had this done, and is there anything this frustrated gf can do to help him relieve his pain between pain pill doses?

I started getting a headache wednesday Nov. 7 and I took two alieve, but they did not help so I went to bed to try to sleep it off. That did not work either when I woke up I still had the headache. I went to my therapist today and by the time I got home the headache was 10 times worse. When I bend over it feels like my head is a bomb and just waiting to explode. I did have a headache like this before and I went to ER they done a cat scan and a spinal tap and they came back ok. I followed up with my Dr. and he said that I had viral menagitis. That was last year. I have not had a bad headache since then. I never get headaches and if I do alieve usually helps no problem. Suggestions and help PLEASE

I was playing with my dog, and he slammed into my face full force, he weighs 55 pounds. I immediately got a nosebleed, it bled profusley for about 15 minutes. It has finally stopped. I have never had a nosebleed before so I don't know how serious this is. My nose doesn't hurt at all so I doubt it's serious. But I'm about to go to bed and I'd hate to bleed to death during my sleep, lol. Should I see a doc about this if I'm still bleeding in the morning?
