I was playing with my dog, and he slammed into my face full force, he weighs 55 pounds. I immediately got a nosebleed, it bled profusley for about 15 minutes. It has finally stopped. I have never had a nosebleed before so I don't know how serious this is. My nose doesn't hurt at all so I doubt it's serious. But I'm about to go to bed and I'd hate to bleed to death during my sleep, lol. Should I see a doc about this if I'm still bleeding in the morning?

You wouldn't be alive if you still bled through the whole night. You only have about 5 litres of blood. There are several small blood vessels in the nose very close to the surface. Even a vigorous nose blowing or picking can make it bleed. Next time it happens, hold the entire soft lower half of your nose pinched between your fingers for about 10 minutes, tipping head forwards (not backwards!). Yes, it will hurt a bit. If still bleeding heavily, go to a clinic. Otherwise, most will stop after 10 minutes. I would definitely worry if you have high blood pressure or any bleeding disorders or are on blood thinners.

It will clot up and stop. be carefull to not bump your nose again. I've had a great dane swung her head back and hit me in the face, and i bled like a stuck hog but once it stopped I was fine. If it doesn't hurt don't worry

you probably just broke your nose. l broke mine in soccer. that sounds about right, that was about the same for me. you wont bleed, but if your still worried try to sleep wit your head tilted back. you'll be fine.
your nose might have a lump on it, or something of that nature.

Don't worry about it, you'll be fine. If it has stopped already, there is no need to worry about it.
