Have someone use their thumbs to massage out the knots. You could apply a warm washcloth and keep it warm. Try wetting a washcloth and microwaving it for 15 seconds.

find someone willing to walk on your back. not too heavy though. barefoot, not even socks. have them step on the knot on their tip toes and rub it in. it may hurt at first but you'll appreciate it in the end.

massage rubbing alcohol into the spot that is knotted. this sounds wierd but it works!

rub where they are with your wrists or elbows and move around the area. Sometimes the area will start to hurt if you don't move away from it a little bit.
