Nope. I find if I watch what they are doing, it makes it quite a bit easier to tolerate. The only needles I really have a problem with are needles that go into the bottom of my foot.

Yes.

And over the past two weeks, I've had two blood tests, which is when I discovered this to be true.

But, I'm getting better. =]

The first time I went last week, I was so afraid. I was shaking at first, I thought I was going to pass out, and I couldn't speak. But when I had it done, I looked away from it, and I imagined it not happening, which helped, but I was still shaken up afterward, so it took about an hour for me to collect myself again.

Then this week, on Monday, I had another one. And it was so much better. I wasn't as afraid. I was still a little freaked, I know, but it was such a major improvement. I'm proud of myself. ^_^

I hope next time I do even better.

No because anytime they need to use a needle on me it is over before you can really worry about it. I just look the other way and talk about whatever I was chatting with the nurse about.

Not as much as I used to be but yes, a little. Afraid of the pain when they first stick it in, afraid they might move it around while it's in my vein, and afraid of the sensation when they pull it out.

yea, pretty much. They terrify me! Even though I try to relax and breath deep and all, I still shake and tense way up. I usually have to call my friend and have her talk me though them, she is good at that. When I talk to her and don't look at the needle, it doesn't usually hurt so bad.

Afraid of needles ????

I guess not unless ...

... Some one is about to poke me with one.

Or
... You want me to search for one in a haystack.
