when you have abdominal pain and the doc thinks its coming from your appendix but they think that the appendix is not inflamed or badly infected. The doc will decide rather than go through the risk of surgery it should be left clear up itself which as a minor infection it should. You will unfortunately get pains from time to time as the appendix will be prone to minor infection now and hence the appendix is known as "
rumbling"

If the is any danger of the infection becoming serious and the appendix rupturing, it will be removed. Report to your GP if the pain becomes much worse or is accompanied with fever

I thought it was Grumbling Appendix? Its a bit like having a stomach upset, you have pain, feel unwell and usually they tell you not to eat anything, but drink plenty of liquid. The idea being to calm the appendix down. I had this throughout my early life, 13 to 30 and it was not nice. Yes I also had a bout at Easter, so no chocolate! Glad to report that appendix problem cleared up and I still have my appendix. I started to monitor what I ate convinced the pain was from something trapped in the appendage. Eventually arrived at green peppers. Therefore refused to eat them and no more problem. Good Luck I know it is not nice thing to have.
