i was out in my barn, and my barn is in the middle of a field. It was at about 2:30pm. Could the bug possibly have been a velvet ant? my arm has been swelling for a 2 days now. I need to know if I have to take any medicines for it. The bug was about 1 inch long. It was about as big as a hornet but it's sting was much more powerful I think.

I am 25 years old and recently started having back pain...mostly at night. I have already tried the whole pillow between my knees, under my back etc etc etc. Nothing seems to eleviate it.

The pain is mostly across my upper back and more severe on the right side. The pain on the right upper side carrys over to the daytime and is prominent when i sneeze or make moves like that.

At night, the only position that makes me comfortable is to curl up so that my back makes a total curve...like a circle.

Is this regualr back pain? What could I do?

I have no injuries, this just started over the past few months. Hmmm

There are two gigantic raccoons in my backyard... the first one is at least 30 pounds... I would guess like 30 inches and fat, the second one is skinny and all I have is my hands and a couple of really long sticks (I could use a knife) and nothing else to get at it. I mean, its been harrassing my dog and I want a way to bring that this down... I want to teach it a lesson so it gets out of my property... how would you recommend I do it?

My almost 8 year old son banged his head on the headboard just before bedtime. He hit it pretty hard. How long should I keep him awake afterwards, to make sure he is OK? We checked him out there appears to be no lump. We applied ice to it. It's now been almost an hour since it happened and he says the spot where he hit it is sore. It seems sensitive to the touch. There still appers to be no lump or bruise, but it's hard to tell for sure because of his hair. There has been no bleeding. We checked his "memory" by asking him simple and sometimes trick questions, which he always answered right. We checked his pupils, and they react to light as they should. If we go in to check on him every 2-3 hours, is it ok to let him go to sleep within an hour of it happening? Or should we keep him awake longer?

My goal is to go to Med. school. I finished my freshman year in college with 100 hours of volunteer work. My duty was to direct cars where to go in a parking lot in Los Angeles. After the car paid, I was supposed to direct them where to park, since space was limited.

Next im going to volunteer at a hospital. Is this too much volunteering or is it just right? Not that I dont enjoy helping people, its just that I dont want the people who review my application to think that someone with hundreds of hours of volunteer work must be crazy or something like that, but is this ok? Or what would you advice me to do next after volunteer work at the hospital?

Just with a mobile number, googled it (some times appears if its a 'scam number') - but it isnt.
Didnt t recognise the number, have tried to search it and nothing comes up.
Called and it was voicemail (and a woman) - left a message to call if they needed to speak to me
No callback - but keep getting the email still
have had previous problems with my ex calling me so dont want to ID my call.
Once or twice maybe a mistake - this is happening loads.
Have ignored it until - how does this anonymous mail get your email address? How can I stop it - its freaking me out.
Any help would be appreciated. thanks

I've gone to my doctor and I've been to massage therapists. I lay on the hard floor and I take hot baths. I rub icy hot on my neck and I give my self massages hourly. I stretch all the time and I exercise weekly. I've also started meditating.

I feel like I'm running out of options besides going back to my doctor or seeing a chiropractor. I know that chrios are total quacks but I also know they can make you feel better.

Has anyone found anything that helps with tense necks and shoulders that I haven't tried yet?

Thanks!

At night I wake up about 5 times because the hip that I am sleeping on is really sore. I usually just flip over to the other side but soon i wake up again only to find that my other hip is aching too. The pain is more inside my hip rather than on the out side. Im not over weight. What could be causing this?

It's really uncomfortable, and imposible to lean or lay down flat on my back. It feels as though maybe my neck is out of alignment, but when I look up as much as I can, the bone will seem flat with the rest of my neck. Does anyone else have this or at least know if its something I should worry about?

Hi, I have asked questions before, I have a spiral fracture of my tib and fib, i was in a full cast for 7 weeks, I am now in a below knee cast and was told I can now weight beare.
What exactly does this mean. can I walk as normal using my cruches.
I can't stand straight let alone walk, my cast is cut funny. it still covers my knee but is cut away at the back, this allows me to bend my knee. How long should I be like this before it comes off and I can walk normal.
The hospital did not give me much info, just left me to it and said see you in 5 weeks.
Has anyone else been in this situation. should I still take it easy.

I don't know how to explain it but when i woke up at six this morning and tried to stand up my legs folded under me. They weren't numb. Then i tried to immediately stand again, but it happened again and i fell right back down. I waited for awhile then got back in bed and fell asleep or passed out? Idk but now the entire right side of my body is sore and i didn't do anything yesterday, but i did only get 3 hours of sleep could that be the problem? idk

I went to a athletic camp last week and somehow managed to pull my toenail off. I was doing fine until a few days after, when I started having extreme pain. I have had constant pain ever since even though I ice it a good bit and take asprin. I think That it may be an ingrown toenail. Any Idea how to deal with it?

I just got a new job that requires me to stand (no walking, just standing) for 7+ hours straight. I have very bad back problems & the first day wrecked my back. How can I prevent the pain for when I go into work today?

PS: I can't ask for a position where I don't have to stand, all of the lower positions there require me to stand for a long period of time.
