If you don't get up at your usuaul time, then you don't have your morning drink, so you become dehydrated and get a headache. Just have an extra big drink of water at night if you intend to have a lie in.

Our bodies adjust to an inner time clock, built upon our working days. For example you may go to bed at 11:00 pm and get up at 6:00 am throughout the week.
We all look forward to having a lie in on the weekend but our bodies like to keep to the same clock. In the summer you are fighting the sun coming in and without realizing it, you're squinting to keep your eyes closed.
It's best to get up at the same time and have a power nap (1/2 hour in length) in the afternoon instead. Any longer will make you feel sluggish.
Otherwise you will get headaches and be popping the Tylenol/Paracetemol

I'm not sure of your question, it doesn't make much sense w/ the lie part, but anyway
you could have BAD allergies or a sinus infection
if it keeps up then go to a DOCTOR & find out

You may be getting too much sleep. I sometimes get a bit of a headache when I have a lie in.

I always used to get this, and found that it paid to get up at my usual time, more or less. I wondered if it was because there wasn't enough air in the room, I became dehydrated, or if it was simply the pressure on my head from resting too long on the pillow. I'll look at the other answers with interest!

Ok, so the OP used the word 'lie' instead of 'lay', but f - - kin' hell, people, it's not that difficult to understand.

Alas, Mr / Ms OP, I don't know the answer, but I've experienced the same thing myself.

Don't understand the Question. It is easier for the blood to flow when You Lay down.
