Anyone know the procedures for a bone deformity. I broke a bone in my foot (the outside of my right foot at the little toe) 3 yrs ago and just reinjured it, the doctor says I now have a deformity. I'm hearing lots of horror stories like the bone will have to be rebroken and reset?

Hi! I am so confused right now. I am a 21 year old female student who works full time bartending. I missed a week of work (Last week) and visited my doctor at the Walk In Clinic I go to *TWICE* in 3 days. He wrote me a note "excusing" my days missed at work due to a case of vertigo in my right ear. Now I am not a rich girl, I do not have health insurance (I know, I know, I am looking into it when I get my next 2 paychecks! lol) and everytime I go to visit the doctor its $70 office visit PLUS meds/tests so it totals out to be at least $150-250 each time I visit. My question is : I returned to work with my 2 doctors notes (got one each visit why not that's why I paid $70) everything was fine and I worked this past Friday Saturday and Sunday. Yesterday at work I got a very bad dizzy spell from my vertigo and had to go home. My boss told me I needed to go back to my doctor and get a note releasing me to go back to work. I am feeling better I just got a really random dizzy/nauseated spell at work and I don't have $70 for another office visit just to get a NOTE!

What do I do? Do I call the office instead of going in there and having other patients "listen in" ? If I call what do I say? I am so bad at these types of things. Please help me out. I need to go back to work on Friday, I am a starving student and I need to work :(

I am looking for a natural way to help when someone is very allergic to bees. I have read that Epinephrine is the best way to go, but an Epipen or other epinephrine remedies have needles and they take some effort to use. Is there a remedy that can be used immediately after a bee sting that can help at least until you can made it to the hospital? Thanks!

For about 15 minutes I could not make out where I was. I went little further and then I could remember the road back home. How did this sudden lapse of memory take place? I am 40 years old.

Vicodin works but I'm concerned about it being habit forming. The doc prescribed Hycosymine. It makes me very tired and does not ease the pain.

I eat very carefully and use homeopathic remedies but when the severe pain hits I need something stronger.

Any info would be appreciated.

I was just given a prescription for it the day before yesterday and I'm scared to take it. Has anyone ever had any bad side effects from taking it?

I Recently started having pain in my foot. I tired to think of something that could have cause it. This past weekend, I did a lot of walking. I had on an ergonomic mule shoe. I wear them a lot though cause they are so comfortable. I've done a lot of walking in them before without any pain. My foot didn't start hurting until Monday. It hurts on the side of my foot, on the outside. The link provided is a photo diagram of where it hurts. http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u117/tshirtsnmorestore/footpain.jpg
It only hurts when I walk. I can push where I have the pain when I walk, and it doesn't hurt at all. If I wear shoes, it hurts worse. From a scale of 1-10, the pain is about a 6. If I wear shoes, and walk on my foot it can become a 9. If I walk on my tip toes...I have no pain. My foot isn't swollen or anything. I'm not sure if it's something that will just go away on it's own, or if it's something that I should definitely go to the doctor for. Any thoughts?

My brother-in-law was being seen in his local hospital's ER hallway (as all the rooms were full). A portable x-ray was taken of the bed beside him in the open hallway. That is illegal since it's ionizing radiation in the air and it scatters to whatever it can find to absorb into. He also had to get a CT scan and the tech said "oh this'll kill all your little swimmers." This hospital obviously has very poor radiation practices and they are unprofessional. She wants to know who she can contact to report this to, and I don't have any idea. I suggested OSHA (since they also regulate radiation in a hospital) but i don't even know how to do that. Any suggestions?

About a week or so ago, I answered a question and I phrased it wrong. I mentioned that vertigo and Meniere's were the same thing. What I actually meant to say is that they are similar to each other...NOT the same thing. That was my mistake. Sometimes, my fingers get ahead of my brain. I apologize.

After working a 24 hour shift when I got my a** handed to me, my mind is sometimes not all here. I'm exhausted but still wired on adrenaline and I come onto Yahoo Answers to wind down.

Yes, I am a REAL medical professional. I am an emergency medical technician.

I suppose it would help if I proofread what I write.

ever since trying out the back exercise "the superman", i've been dealing with a lot of leg muscle and joint pain. the pain started the day after trying out the exercise, and most of the leg pains have gone away over the course of a month with the exception of knee problems. the knee problems have actually worstened. symptoms are occasional redness over knee, rarely stiffness, pain "behind" kneecap and around the knee area, mostly tendons. if i put my hands on them, i can also hear them make a creaking noise, though ive probably had this before without noticing it. ive been going to a chiropractor and have seen some improvement. pain becomes more constant and stronger a few hours after exercise.

is this just a case of overworked knee, or did i do something serious to it? i about a month before experiencing leg pain i had started doing sprint exercises.

sorry if its written poorly, im in a rush and can add info in necessary.

Every time i have to give blood for a test or something (which is often now that i am pregnant) , i bruise almost immediately and it's a big bruise that lasts for over a week. Initially i thought maybe the nurse i had was just too rough with me but this last time i hardly felt pain at all and she was able to get it on the first try but within an hour i was black and blue. I know i know, ask my doctor, and of course i will but i wanted to know if anyone else experiences this or knows what the cause could be. Anemia maybe? i have been taking my prenatal vitamins so i didnt think it would be due to an iron deficiency. My veins are very small and difficult to find, which i let them know right away and they usually take from the same vein because it is the only one that cooperates. Does anyone know what could be causing this and if i should be concerned? i would have them use a different vein but then they have to try 3 or 4 times to get it going and that most definitely bruises.
