I Recently started having pain in my foot. I tired to think of something that could have cause it. This past weekend, I did a lot of walking. I had on an ergonomic mule shoe. I wear them a lot though cause they are so comfortable. I've done a lot of walking in them before without any pain. My foot didn't start hurting until Monday. It hurts on the side of my foot, on the outside. The link provided is a photo diagram of where it hurts. http://i166.photobucket.com/albums/u117/tshirtsnmorestore/footpain.jpg
It only hurts when I walk. I can push where I have the pain when I walk, and it doesn't hurt at all. If I wear shoes, it hurts worse. From a scale of 1-10, the pain is about a 6. If I wear shoes, and walk on my foot it can become a 9. If I walk on my tip toes...I have no pain. My foot isn't swollen or anything. I'm not sure if it's something that will just go away on it's own, or if it's something that I should definitely go to the doctor for. Any thoughts?

this is not going to go way on its own. There could be many different reasons why you're experiencing this pain. It could be coming from your ankle into the outside area of the foot.

I would recommend you see a chiropractor and get this diagnosed. I've enclosed a link where you can find a qualified chiropractor in your area.

If the chiropractor cannot help you - you will need to see a foot specialist. I would try the chiropractor first.

Go to the doctor and have them do an x-ray for you. I had problems with the same thing but mine was on the bottom of my foot, under my big toe. I ended up having a broken bone in my foot from the shoes that I had constantly worn. I broke a small bone in my foot called the Sesamoid Bone. There are lots of small bones in your feet. If you walk the wrong way, or step on something the wrong way, it could cause pain. My pain in my foot was horrible. All over a small tiny bone the size of a fingernail. Have a doctor x-ray it for you and see if you have a similar problem. Other problems may be that your shoes that you are useing are not the right type for "walking" in and you may have caused a "spasm" in your foot.

My chiropractor would have something intelligent to say about that. Call around and ask for a free consultation...
