I found a tick on my scalp and pulled it off before knowing what it was. I did not get the head out and I now I am a little worried.

i've always heard that if you don't get the head of a tick it will stay alive and grow its body back i'm not sure if thats fact but thats what i was always told growing up

Lyme disease or infections are the two things to mainly worry about when dealing with ticks, have someone look at where the tick was and see if you can get it out...

It could get infected; it's not a huge thing to worry about. If the area gets red/painful you can go to the doc to have it removed. It might also pop out on it's own eventually.

I've always heard that the head will remain, and could actually burrow under your scalp and cause infections, and other problems later on.

Some ticks cause Lime Disease. That may not be how you spell it...I don't know. Ticks carry disease, though.
