This may be a stupid question but I just wanted to no.

I practically live at my fiance's and his parents smoke really heavily. Although we are always upstairs in his room with the door closed, is it causing me any harm???
Also they smoke doing everything, cooking, cleaning including ironing. When I use a towel when I have a bath it smells of smoke, is it unheigenic for my skin like that?

I got a pretty bad sunburn on Saturday. I forgot to wear sun block when i was at my sons school fair. anyways.....my neck is peeling very badly. its not the normal thin flaky strands of skin coming off but thick yellow scab-like chunks. My neck is all cracked and it hurts very bad.

How bad of a burn do i have and what should i do?

Ok, so for a week now I've been having this throbbing ache in my left side that every now and then stabs. I've been to ER and they said they didn't think it was a kidney or spleen problem, for some reason did a chest x-ray and basically didn't come up with anything. It is on the left side just under the ribs. It hurts in the front all the way around the side to the back. I went to a regular doctor today and all he did was give me a muscle relaxer. I've had muscle pains and cramps before, and this doesn't feel like a muscle pain. If I'm not moving, then it's just a dull ache, but as soon as I move or stretch, it hurts. Anyone have any ideas or experienced anything similar??

My feet start to heat up as soon as I put shoes on, I have this burning sensation and my feet get tired really quickly, especially the upper part of my feet. Without my shoes on, I can walk for miles without feeling a flinch. A doctor gave me Mecobalamin capsules coz I may be Vit B12 deficient but that hasn’t worked for me. I am not diabetic, I do have flat feet but I have been running, playing tennis and soccer for ages and that never left me with any issues surrounding my flat feet. It’s the burning sensation in feet that has started around a year ago and only kicks in when I have shoes on ( any shoes – sports or leather) that is really irking me out…… Any recommendation will be much appreciated.
Thanks

If you're taking Rozerem, the newest prescription sleep aid, or if you've taken it before, I'd love to know what you do or don't like about it. :)

I've been thinking of asking my doctor for it, as it apparently has zero capacity to become "addictive". It also sounds like the most "natural" drug in how it works. FYI: I don't need sleep help all the time. I only need help when I have to go to bed abnormally early on a particular night, due to having to rise abnormally early the next morning.

My normal "sleep onset" is somewhat late, but that's OK usually, since my work schedule is flexible and my commute is short. HOWEVER, if I need to be up super-early to catch a plane, leave for a roadtrip, etc., I'd ideally like to go to bed extra early the night before. But, no luck!! :( I've tried chamomile, Benadryl, melatonin, meditation, warm baths -- I just can't fall asleep at a time my body &/or brain perceives as "way too early".

THAT'S when I hope a pill like Rozerem can help! :)

Every single morning I wake up with severe neck pain and soreness. It radiates all the way from the base of my skull to my shoulders and on both sides. I have trouble turning my head to the left, right, up and down. I also have pain in the left side of my jaw every morning. My jaw sometimes clicks when I open it. I take up to 10 Ibuprofen to be able to function normally. What is this? How can I solve the problem?

I know for sure I have a sprained wrist. Yesterday I fell on it, and I got it SLAMMED hard in my locker. My parents are positive that I don't have to go to the doctor. Yesterday, when I slammed it, I went to the Trainer at my school, and he said that if the swelling and sharp pains did not go away, I should go to the emergency room. I have little swelling but I dafinately have a sharp pain in my wrist. What should I do?

i dislocated my knee six weeks and 3 days ago ago. it went back into place itself. i have seen a doctor who gave me a few simple exercises to do. the swelling has gone down a reasonable ammount. however it is still slightly swollen. i stopped using the crutches 4 days ago but i am wearing a knee support while walking around. i still have problems bending my knee.

i was wandering:

how long it will be until i can get a full bend?
how long it will be until the swelling goes fully down?
is there anything i can do to repair my knee?
how long it will be until i can start playing sport?

if you could awnser any of these questions i would be very grateful.
any other useful information will be apprecated

Can anyone help with this in the UK? 15 years ago I had an accident and broke my back, I had to move back with my parents 5 years ago when I just couldn't cope on my own any more. I still managed to keep my job but only cause my bosses were and still are very understanding and try to help me as much as they can.

5 years ago I applied for DLA and was awarded the high rate mobility, so I applied for a Motability car and I've had one ever since. I re-applied after 3 years and was again awarded the same, the doctor they sent to assess me said that there was no way my condition would ever get any better.

I've just applied again and have been refused, my whole award taken away, I've had a reconsideration, still no award. I'm now due to hand back my car in May so I have to give up my job, public transport is 45 min walk, bus, 20 min walk, 2 trains, 45 min walk, so thats not an option. I can barely walk from house to car. I now have to go to appeal and am scared, any advice?

He seems to drink about 5-6 pints a day, every day, which to me is much too much.

But he never has any problems with it. He never misses work, and him and his wife get on really well (she drinks a bit too, though not as much as him).

I've been looking at websites about drinking, and it's been difficult to work out how bad things are. They all agree that he's drinking too much, but they all assume that it must be causing problems in his life, and it just isn't.

He's never obviously drunk, never aggressive or violent, has a successful career and is doing ok in life. He gets on great with his kids.

I know he would never get involved with anything like AA (I've been on the website and all the "higher power" stuff would just make him laugh like a drain).

I'm not even sure if I should say anything at all. I just worry that he might end up on the liver transplant waiting list, and I'd hate for that to happen without me at least having made an effort.

Anyone got any advice?

Is there any way to see how much tramadol it takes to give the same pain relief of a 60mg oxycodone. I know these are two different types of meds, but i really do not want to take my oxycodone anymore due to the side affects, but due to my cronic pain i feel i will not get the same pain relief i would as on the oxycodone. If anyone knows how to find this out please let me know. I have heard somewhere that 20mg of hydrocodone is equal to 20mg of oxycodone. I did not know if this is true for tramadol or how to figure out this for tramadol to oxycodone. Thanks
