General Health Care - February 2007

Hello, I have done an MRI and a muscule test on my head and shoulder, and the results were fine. I have this weird pain inside my head and neck, they bother me every morning and night the most, it feels like something is pinching inside me. I have seen doctors and they only sugest me to take pills, but pills dont help me at all. and nobody could tell me why is that pain coming from. Does anybody has this kind of pain? It is not really a pain, but it is something that really bothers me inside, something like cramp that goes from the back of my head thru the front up of my head.

does any one know of a lower back getting out of wack or slideing over to one side after a hard day of work and being back to almost normal in the morning. Its just something I had for about 3 years now and dont have the money to ask a chiropracter and sometime it really hurts and pain shoots down to my knee and it really sucks because im only 21 years old

My 6yr old has a rash on the back of both of his hands. I believe that it is caused by him wiping his nose while he is playing outside when it is cold. I am having him wash his hands often and am trying to get him to take tissues outside. Does anyone have any ideas or experience with this?

And please, no perverse answers, please remember this is my little 6yr old boy we are talking about. - Thanks

I am 16 years old. How much do I really need per night?

And if I can't get that full amount in a night, how few hours should I sleep so that I am not completely wiped the next day?

As in, I heard that getting 4 hours of sleep will keep you going more than say, 5 will because of something to do with the REM cycle...

I've given plasma for a few months now, however I just got my nose pierced they say its okay to give plasma as long as you explain to the nurse how its done. Assuming that it must be all new things coming out of packages. Needles, clamp, jewelry, gauze. My question is...has anyone else ever given plasma? Gotten a piercing and THEN given plasma? What did they ask?

he came in today around 6pm (england time) and was freezing, fair enough it has been snowing, he came in and got by the fire ans asked for a hot drink which is unusual for him because he hates hot drinks.

i felt he was acting strange but he said he was fine

he started falling asleep sitting up and looking really groggy, he then fell asleep, and he looked flushed so i took his temeprature and it was 39.4, i woke him up and told him to cool down and gave him paracetamol.

the paracetamol brought the temperature down to between 38.1 and 38.8

i have been chwcking his temperature every 15 minutes and i have noticed its going up and down very quickly.

it went to 39.9 at one point, and the lowest its been was 37.9

he says he feels fine, but i just sense something is not right, he says he has a little groggy throat but he feels himself
he has seemed very tired, he is asleep now but i took his temperature when he was asleep at it is 38.6
is he ok? why is his temp doing this

I kinda poured boiling water straight from the stove on the top portion of my Hand. It's pretty much my whole hand, nothings left out...unfortunately. It happened a few minutes ago and it hurts like ****. Anything to worry about? like skin coming off or something? Can I just wait it put...because I hate going to a doctor..

I was playing dodgeball with my brother and I threw one. When I came through the tip of my finger smoked it(I threw it my hardess). It is about 45 minutes after the injury. Its not swollen up, but it hurts when I press on it and it is still warmer than all of my other fingers.

I took a spin class for the first time 2 days ago and I really really overstrained myself. My legs are incredibly sore..I have never been this sore before..I couldnt walk for a while and i still cant walk right and sitting hurts too..all i can think about is the pain. I took tylenol and that didnt work...is there anything i can do to relieve the pain? Are my legs going to be okay? When will the pain subside.?

feels like i'm getting a sore throat every few days! caused by lack of sleep, feeling cold, etc etc... how can u prevent this?

at work it's really cold.. i wear jackets and have a heater and drink hot drinks, but the circulated air is really freezing (and i think very germy!).... it's hard to get enough sleep w/ work and a few activities, friends, and boyfriend....? no time for working out either, as i'm constantly feeling sick! (sore throat coming on again...!)

I am having a hard time getting it all down. I have found that if I add a little bit of Crystal light for flavor that it’s easier to get it all down. My question is: Does that just defeat the whole purpose of drinking all that water? Or am I still doing something healthy for my body?
