I have a headache and I've already taken two Excedrine, Yet it still won't go away. Any home remedies that could ebb it away? I don't want to take too much medication.

Neck massage yourself or have someone else give you a head and neck massage...squeeze the web of skin between your thumb and first finger (acupressure)...here's an exercise...drop your chin to your chest and then slowly roll chin towards towards your right shoulder, back to your chest (center) then slowly roll chin to left shoulder...bring shoulders up as close to ears as possible then drop...take slow breaths in through the nose to count of four, hold breath to count of four, then exhale through mouth to count of four...and DON'T LAUGH, but if none of those things help put a plastic, hard, coat hanger and wear it right above your temples...when you release the coat hanger your headache should be better...let me know if any of this works for you.

There are multiple reasons you could be having these headaches, but here are some tips to try that will hopefully help... 1. Take your dominant hand and massage the area between your thumb and forefinger of your other hand. There is a pressure point here they say can help relax the muscles and help with headaches. 2. Try an over-the-counter pain medication along with an allergy medication such as Claritin D. Remember to follow the instructions on the packaging. 3. Try wearing sunglasses outside. And think about getting your eyes checked. If all else fails see the doctor! Good luck!

Taking the pointer finger and thumb of your right hand, find the "v" in between the thumb and pointer finger of your left hand. Using finger and thumb of your right hand, and firmly probe the space in between the "v" until you find the tender area. Once you have found that area, apply firm pressure with as much pressure as you can tolerate and your headache should go away.

You can try reversing hands if the headache doesn't go away or if it is less awkward one way or another, it's just using a pressure point that should generally help. That's what I've been told anyway and it always works for me, maybe it's simply transferring pain from one part of your body than the other but I'd rather have the "v" in between my thumb and pointer finger a little sore than have a headache!

All my life I have had headaches! I used to take excedrin too but then I went to a nurologest and he said that excedrin can give you re-bound headaches. That means it can bring them on more than get rid of them. He gave me a percription for a pill to take everyday. I took it for about two months and I have been headache free for a year or so! It was amazing...I suggest going to a doctor if you have them constantly. Try just taking a nap that used to help me.

Drinking enough water and a massage because the muscles are knotted..
Welcome to a learning process about muscles. Read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies. It teaches about muscles, pain and referred pain and how to fix it.
The best mix of vitamins according to a heart specialist in CA are prenatal.
The thing all vitamins seem low on is the combination of magnesium and potassium (the very thing muscles need) but they can be found in bananas or molasses

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information
