as long as you dont smoke while the patch is on and are otherwise in good health all this will do is cost you a great sum of money . this will however be much less harmfull then smoking every now and then attempt a lower dose patch and see how you do . keep up the good work

Nicotine is nicotine. Smoke it, chew it, patch it, its all the same.
Some have reported skin irritation problems with very lone patch use.
