I'm looking for nose prongs that aid breathing while sleeping. I have seen them in drugstores in the past but cannot find them anywhere. Any possible places I might find this. Tried some catalogues to no avail.

My father had a triple bypass last Friday and today the doctor said his ex-ray showed that the top of one of his lungs had fell. Does anyone know how this is cured and how long it takes to heal. We will speak more with the doctor tomorrow, just want a little bit of information tonight.

I got this scar almost a year ago when i went through a tattoo removal surgery that cut it out. Now I am left with a deep vertical scar about 2 1/2 - 3 inches long and about 1/2 inch wide. I know I cannot get rid of it entirely, but if there is a way to lighten it at least 50% I would like to know how to do it. Thanks.

Its advertised on any medication bottle, over-the-counter or narcotic, that taking more acephetamine than recommended can cause serious liver damage. This is not only mentioned its usually STRESSED by pharmacists & doctors....u get the drift. So my question is how does it affect the liver & in what cases does this actually happen? Im genuinally concerned with understanding this but i've researched what i could thru browsing the web and i haven't found anything that comes even remotely close 2shining some light on this matter. Any takers 2taking on this mystery challenge? Or any1 currently knowledged on the topic? All info is appreciated, thanks in advance

I recently fell on a close hand, hitting the hand from the front. I believe I broke it right behind the knuckle on my pinky, on the hand side, not the finger. I'm avoiding the doctor because I don't have insurance, but I need to go... what should I expect to pay for xrays and to get it set, and all that? Thanks!

Sup
For some dumb reason this past July, I thought of trying to lift a barbell heavier than I could possibly manage. I was doing an incline bench press and tore my left rotator cuff. I've been getting good rest and haven't worked out since then. I visit my chiropractor every week for ultra sound treatment and some other stuff.
Just last week, I lifted a TV for my friend thinking I was in good shape as my shoulder hadn't hurt from quite some time. And......the next day, it started hurting again and it's still hurting now, 4 days later. Hurting as in, when I lift it to a certain angle, not when walking or sleeping.
It's like 5months now since I had the injury and it's so frustrating it hasn't healed yet. Any advice I could get to possibly how long it would take, what should I do and should I opt for a surgery (the last thing I wanna do)?
Will I be able to get back to the gym soon? :(
Thanks

Is it worth it to switch from a PPO to an HMO if an employee will gain an additional $200 per paycheck upon making the switch? Are the limitations in a HMO plan a reason not to make the switch? Will I have to keep changing doctors because they will drop the HMO plan at some point?

I'm a 40 yr old female. I have madalungs deformity and had bones removed from a foot because of osteomylitis. A few years ago the pain spread to other spots. I saw a rheumatologist who did x-rays and bone scans. They showed some osteoarthritis, a bit of degenerative spinal disease, arthritis in various points, abnormal wear in one hip, bone chips in one knee (both knees have arthritis) calcification in one shoulder etc. The list is long. The rhuematolist said it's nothing autoimmune and go back to my doctor. I don't have a family doctor. I'm in Canada and they aren't available. I'm living on tylenol 1's (over the counter - around 8 a day) because I have no choice. I go to the walk in clinic for meds and there they act like I'm an addict. I live in pain, sometimes unbearable, but the doctors attitude now has me afraid to take ANYTHING. I had a doctor there look at my test results once and his response was "Oh that stuff is nothing." I can't live in pain forever. Any ideas?

I know I'll hear.."go to the doctor" from alot of you, but honestly, you're cheaper :] I have tingling in my left hand, only in my last 3 fingers and only when I am using that hand or if I hold it straight up. Laying it flat, it goes away. It's sort of a numb feeling, but almost like it is when you hit your funny bone. It really is starting to get on my nerves..which is prob. exactly what it is, a nerve. Any docs. or really smart people who have seen this or heard of it out there that can give me some idea what's wrong?? Thank you so much!

I have a small lump on my thumb just above and to the side of the knuckle. It doesn't cause any pain and it comes and goes. When it's there I notice that my thumbnail has a white streak from the nail bed to the top of the nail which eventually grows out, it also causes the nail to flatten and thicken but only where the white streak is. The lump itself is sometimes red-almost like a bad pimple but it never seems to do anything. I can press on it without causing any pain. I could go to the Doctor but it seems a minor complaint and not worth paying the co-pay. Does anyone have any ideas? I haven't noticed any connection with foods, and it comes and goes at will almost, this is the 2nd time this year it has appeared.
