I'm 7 1/2 months pregnant, and I get horrible migraines with blurred vision and flashing lights! I've brought it up to my doctor, and she just told me to take Tylenol and lay down in a dark room. The problem with that though, is I get them at work, and can't lay down in a dark room every time I get one! So, I was wondering if there are any other ways to alleviate them, like pressure points or anything else? Thanks!

I had some baseline bloodwork done at the doctor office just to have on file. If I had something seriously wrong would they be able to tell from that?

a nerve was pinched in my right hip many years ago. In 2004 a medtronics neurostimulater was installed in my body, although it did help it didn't completely take the pain away. I have to take a sedative (seroquel) to avoid daily panic attacks. Meditation & hypnosis help but I am getting worse.

First of all, I know you aren't supposed to do pointe outside of class. I'm old as dirt so I know this and wasn't actually on pointe.

I tried on an old pair of Grishko 2007s (bought when the 2007 first came out) that had become too small. They were perfectly broken in - better than my newer pair and I wanted to see what my arch looked like in them. I put them on and did a révélé w/out going on pointe and the back of the shoe dug into my tendon. That was all I did and I stopped immediately. This happened yesterday afternoon.

It hurts to walk across the house but I can't just lie around because I have children. I am also freaking out because I'm a runner and I will go stir-crazy until I can start running again.

So what will work, if anything, to speed up the recovery process besides rest? Thanks.

yet the only two shown on the ad are a woman shaking out a rug and a man with a cat on his desk.
First of all, who wouldn't sneeze with rug dust going up their nose? It's a natural response. Wear a mask when you shake out a rug.
As far as the cat goes - don't yell at me, I like cats - but why does the guy have a cat if he's alergic? I'm alergic so I don't have a cat. Some friends of mine have cats & it doesn't bother me. But then these friends are a bit OCD on cleaning and their cats don't go outside. If I do go somewhere where there is a cat that bothers me, I take a benadryl instead of a Nazonex every fraking day.
I realize some people have many other allergies that are much harder to avoid. I empathize. It seems however the side effects listed on the ad are the same as what the Rx is supposed to prevent.
I think med schools should teach how to heal a messed up immune system rather than what drug to mask the symptoms.

What do you do other than Rx to help allergies?
