I had some baseline bloodwork done at the doctor office just to have on file. If I had something seriously wrong would they be able to tell from that?

I am thinking you are talking about the CBC and BMP. Complete blood count will tell how many red blood cells, White blood cells, platelets etc you have. ANd if you have a low Hemoglobin count ( what carries O2 to your organs) and hematocrit ( how thick is your blood) it will give a basic idea of how your blood is doing, check whether you r anemic ( there are other specific test for anemia) The BMP will let the doc know about your Potassium level and Sodium ( important for the heart function). BUN and Creatin ( how your kidneys are working) and so on. Albumin level and pre albumin ( how nurished you are) well if some thing is out of range the doc will order other more specific tests. Don't worry.

"baseline" is just a starting point. Any future labs can be compared to your baseline to see the changes and determine if they are clinically significant.
